Just a quick shout to Glassman for his and his colleagues excellent service!!

Gave the car a quick wash the other day and noticed what I thought was a crack on the windscreen, called Glassman this morning and within an hour had a phonecall that someone would be round to take a look. Sure enough his colleague David arrived to give tell me the crack was indeed a scuff mark and did not need a repair... Both gents were reliable, great comms and most of all so honest....!! Top marks Glassman!

Not sure if you can plug on the forum, but if you're in need of a windscreen or repair this would be my first port of call. I called up my insurance company telling them that I had a company that I wanted to use instead of national windscreens and there was no issue. Thx

Ps. I feel like a right pillock!!

Excellent! He was a true gent and after the 3 hrs he spent at the car dealership in twickenham i think any cuppa would have been like heaven. I'll speak to nick and arrange the ace cafe next month.

Thanks once again.

Thanks for your kind words, it was very lucky that I happened to be just round the corner so it was no trouble to pop in and look at your screen. We just try and treat people how we would like to be treated and turn the tide of misinformation and jobs "done to a price" by faceless organisations with call centres which seems to be all rage nowadays. The reward of this job is the satistaction of solving peoples problems with a result that was better than they expected.

Hurrah to that attitude thumbup

Call centres are one of the banes of modern life, generally staffed by poorly trained and disinterested under paid staff. Every now and then you get the odd good one, but you can't beat the personal touch and worth paying for every time.

Got someone out of trouble in Notts last year (big cock up from one of the nominated/approved guys). Just last week I was in Glos rescuing a 993 C2.

I love the car/job so will travel.

What about near Thetford? I have a major chip in my screen which I will need doing before September and I am loathe to use someone not recommended. Quite happy to bring the car to you somewhere if that might help?

I haven't needed a new screen for quite sometime now, but when/if I do, Glassman is the only place I'd go to.

Glass man has helped me out a couple of times. Excellent service and communications.
When I had a chip in my screen on the gt2 I was very nervous at letting one of the insurance recommend non specialists touch it. Glass man sorted it out with superb care and attention to detail and he delt with the insurance company too.
Can't recommend him enough.

Thanks for the kind words, I only really came on Piston Heads to sell my Integrale and came across the community as well and so far it has been a pleasant experience and I hope that continues ( I have even added some personal car details.) Its rewarding to offer advice to people who have an enthusiasm and knowledge for their cars. I have dealt directly with most London Porsche dealers for over 20 years now and often get sent out to sort owners issues directly.
