Goodwill claim.... 996 TT
Discussion
All very strange -
Porsche "goodwill" have agreed to refund air-con problems and even the 3 x roller bearings. (Parts & Labour).
....but refused claim for sunroof (£1,200).
The air-con I expected to be covered/settled.
The roller bearings I was happy to pay view fact that it is a high performance car that has completed 22,000 "spirited" miles in the last 12 months.
The sunroof I had (wrongfully) assumed would def be covered. A sunroof on a £100,000 car should not fail in two years - especially when you consider we live in England so roof only used twice per season!!
I have refused to contribute to the roof and now case continues.... am I being unreasonable?

I also have the extended warranty - they say that roof not covered under same.
I would dispute that. Whatever their fine print, prior to taking out the extended 2yr warranty as opposed to the extra 1yr warranty, the person at the OPC told me that that with the 2yr warranty I would receive exactly the same level of coverage as that given in the first two years of ownership.

Shortly after you renewed porsche changed plan - you can only get year policy now & then renew again next year. Yours was at the end of the "old style" renewal.
I missed the boat (Not good for a shipping chap...!)

To be honest Buster, I don't think you were using the sunroof ENOUGH!!! That is why the silly thing seized solid
Check on p345 of the owner's manual: 'Ze Sonnenroofen must be operated vonce a week or more, even in inklement weather, or it vill sulk and not play ze ball, ja.'
They have also agreed to give 2 year warranty on the new roof / parts.
2 hrs labour + vat.
Actually think that is pretty reasonable....
They also said that no TT S cabs available...GT2 loan car was also no.
*** Edit to add: Porsche would have paid for entire parts & labour IF I had purchased car from them. Next time I should be more patient and order from OPC!
