Rear main oil seal and Porsche extended warranties

Looking at a 2001 3.6 Carrera 2 with 10K miles on it. The owner says that the seal has been changed twice recently under the two year warranty....

This makes me slightly doubtfull that they have fixed it, I d'ont want to buy it and than have a lot of hassle, anyone any thoughts?

Secondly can the Porsche extended warranty be taken out even though the car is out of the original warranty period, if so does anyone know what this costs?
