Cheers Rodney. Just showed Kerry the add. She asked if I had the spare cash would I buy it back. Yep sure would. They are a great car with very useable performance as we both know, happy days smile

...Fantastic thread this.
Carnt believe how much these have gone up in value over the last five years or so.
The closest I think I will get to own one is the hard backed
sales brochure I had from Evans Halshaw Little Aston!

Agreed....glad I have both cool

....but I suspect eventually the bubble will burst. So long as the real thing is worth more than the brochure, then I guess I'll be happy....biggrin

Lovely car Ruebdo!

I'm really missing my 3.3T I sold in July. I'll give the GT3 until next summer to see if I bond with it, but in the meantime I'm keeping one eye on the classifieds.

Enjoy it! You should get a few more nice days in before winter. thumbup

Edited to add -

There was someone on here a couple of years ago who had 2 or 3 sets of speedlines, both new and used. I'm sure they'll still be about, but it just depends on whether they see your post or not.

Hi Marky, nah I think he should give it the occasional drive through the winter. Nothing better than an air cooled 911 on a frosty morning on tickover ready for a quick blast in winter sunshine.

Cheers guys
It's definitely not going to be tucked away all winter. Swapped from a 997 turbo which was brilliant but so clinical. Saying that, the car is pretty quick and very capable. I need a few frosty mornings to get that leg trembler :-)
Hopefully the guy with the wheels will resurface!!

Hey Wozy,
I hope all is going well with the 993.

Yep you're right, they should be used a bit, but I can never be bothered with the washing (in arctic temperatures) that a winters drive would inevitably lead to.
I start mine the odd time but that's it. smile

It's Pete 'Headlesshorseman' on here who has/had the wheels. I'm pretty sure he has sold at least one set though!?

My sentiments exactly - I owned an ex Sultan 1994 X88 3.6 with only 10,000 km's on the clock . Sold that for circa 65k GBP few years back . Hate to think what it's 'worth' now. Hindsight is cruel sometimes :-) although thinking of driving that car makes me cringe now .....

Thanks billy 964 for all your help, and headlesshorseman I was just to late.... Story of my life :-(

Just bought a set from Germany. Originals but refurbed. 2k to refurb, seen the receipt from Porsche, wow. Can't wait to get them on :-). It will feel so much better knowing they are the right wheels!!
