Car audio specialists for Porsche?
Discussion
Hi
Does anyone have any recommendations for car audio specialists who can be relied upon to do a good job of swapping a PCM2.1 in a 2007 MY 997 for a Pioneer or Kenwood double din unit? Whilst the car is under warranty my OPC is quite happy to renew the warranty providing the old PCM kit is on the passenger seat at renewal time and no botch job has been done.
Whilst there are lots of "specialists" on the web none of them seem to deal with Porsche. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

If Merseyside is any use I'd give Mike at Fornby Elect a call. I just had a sound system installed albeit in a Mini, but very impressed with the quality of his service and installation work.

Thanks for the tips. I am in Gloucestershire but don't mind travelling a reasonable distance to get expert assistance rather than just taking a gamble,
Does anyone have any other recommendations for audio installers?
Trust me you won't be taking a gamble with Greg and his team at Auto Audio. They can do anything you want perfectly. Does anyone have any other recommendations for audio installers?

I've used AudioFile and can't recommend them highly enough.
They replaced the standard porsche CDR23 head unit and Bose amp with a Kenwood head unit and JL Audio digital amp. But the real magic was the work they did building custom crossovers and rewiring the Bose rear box. Overall a really neat and professional job and I will certainly use them again.

I have came across this thread and was wondering if any of you guys would know of specialists that do similar in Scotland?
I have a 911, 996 C4S 2004 and wish to change out the PCM for something more up to date with better funcionality including bluetooth for the phone which this PCM doesn't have in this model!
Any advice much appreciated

Resurrecting an old thread, but I had Auto Audio remove the Parrot system and put an Android Auto compatible head unit in my Cayman. I picked them from word on here, and Porsche Tech recommended them. I did expect that it would be a bit more expensive than elsewhere.
They did a good job, FULL STOP
Definitely worth a look around out back!
EDIT: I have maligned them for no reason, that hole punched through the centre of the console cubby was the parrot one - when I was updating the firmware on the head unit last night, I was looking for the hole the parrot thing used, and there wasn't another one
I will have to look for a big grommet to tidy things up.
