Rolling Road Day @ Surrey Rolling Road, Sat 5th October
Discussion
Please join us at PH'er Vixpy's rolling road on Saturday 5th October. Unfortunately, no 911 Turbos can be run.
Unit 120 Qinetiq Chobham Ln, Chertsey, Surrey KT16 0EX.
Normally the day will start at 10 ish and finish by early afternoon depending on the number of cars.
You will get 2 to 3 runs on the dyno and cars will go on approximately every 15 minutes.
I will aim to cap number at a maximum of 15 but would like a minimum of 10 cars to run to take advantage of the discounted £35 rate per car. Below 10 cars and the cost is £40.
Adjacent to the RR itself they have a large ish lounge area with tea making facilities but all biscuits/cakes/snacks are welcome on the day. You can watch in relative peace and quiet from here as they have screens showing the action and showing the plots. They have got limited numbers of ear defenders on site. In all honesty, you don't really need them.
Following your run you will get a couple of print outs to take away (AFR, power and torque curves). The ultimate power figure is great for pub talk, or you can use the afr plot to help diagnose problems such as fueling and MAF for example.
Lunch to be arranged, probably at the Brickmakers just down the road.
Please copy and paste the list below and add yourself.
List:
Name - car - RR or spectator
Ed - 986S - RR
Ian - 986S-RR
Dean - RS60 - RR

You will be able to stand in front of the car and hear the racket as they wind up or in slightly more comfort just a few feet away view on a big screen in a 'lounge'. The plots are shown on the screen and you can see them plot on the fly as the car accelerates.
From memory there are 3 screens on site. You can't really miss what is going on unless you are stood outside.
On the day I will prepare a table where we can all write down our figures and list any mods completed. I will then tidy it up, re-type it and post it back on this thread for all to see
