Just out of interest, I have seen a car advertised as a 1990 car but registered on an 'M' plate. Anyone know how this is possible?

There's a Porsche 911 around wimbledon village that is a 930 shape but on an M plate, maybe imported in 1994 and didnt declare original manufacture date.

Yes it is possible.

Year of manufacture 1990.

Date of first registration in the period relevent to M reg cars.

Eg some plonker buys a limited edition Ferrari. Doesn't register it but sticks it in a Michael Jackson airtent for 4 years. Realises he's lost £100k and thinks **** this I may as well drive the bloody car!!

PS there used to be a S reg 348 in Bristol that had done this. A colleague HPI'd it because he thought it may be stolen and cloned onto a 355's identity.

Daz is right - I know of an unregistered Lotus Carlton, that was eventually put on an X or W reg. Manufacture ceased in 1993, but this guy had kept it for investment purposes. I bet he got a shock when his 50k car was eventually worth about half that with no miles on the clock!

Have you got his phone number? I've got some magic beans he may want to invest in

I have already sold him half a tonne of elbow grease, and he's still got that long weight on order...

Is that the one on a certain Richard Branson sounding website? If so I was wondering about that this morning.

Certainly was, not sure of the condition but if you want a cheap cab it sounds like not a bad buy. Anyone taken a look at it?
