Anyone got any hot tips for an insurance provider for a 1976 Carrera 3.0 based in London?

5 years no claims, owned by the wife, both of us drive it, no convictions, 3k miles/year, garaged, alarm/immob. etc.

We've been offered 913 pounds

I had a 1989 c4 in london similar profile to you and this was around £500 with Norton 01212465053 or Footman James

This as a classic policy, so no business use other than commuting and the policy holder needs access to a another car

Try Lancaster - I've got £180 fully comp in Brixton with the car garaged in Chiswick. Aged 29 on a 1969 2.0 E. They were far cheaper than anyone else I found, and they do an agreed valuation if you send off photographs of the car.

There's a website for quotes - something like www.lancaster.co.uk, but google it to be sure

Try Norwich Union Direct, I've heard they are cheap at the moment.

Also try classicline, based in Lutterworth in Leics.

I used to them them for my second car policy on the TVR, and they were by far the cheapest.

Thanks for your help folks - PH has just saved me 700 quid this year

I promised to let you know, so ...

Footman James - 305 pounds
- 1500 miles/year, legal/breakdown/greencard cover

ClassicLineInsurance - 251 pounds
- insured by KGM, agreed value
- legal cover (breakdown an extra 19.95)
- 3000 miles/year

Norton - 219 pounds
- insured by Chaucer, agreed value
- breakdown/legal cover
- 2000 miles/year

Lancaster Insurance - 201 pounds
- legal/breakdown cover
- agreed value 15 quid extra

Anyone have good/bad experiences with any of these companies?

Awesome!
