Interior re-dye-ing
Discussion
Not a dye but when I got my Mitsi GTO it had a really smokey roof which a few people wrote off and recommended a new headlining.
Whilst recovering from a fairly hefty car crash at home I had enough time on my hands to sit and scrub it with Jif cream and one of my mum's scouring pads, one of the reversible soft jobs. It came up as good as new. It was a painful job as the back seats of a GTO are suitable for dwarves only and your arms ache a lot but it looked much better afterwards.
Hope this helps.

Mark, thanks for pointer, hope your recovered ok.
Nicotine staining on headlining thats it allright, perhaps i might track down that 'sillit bang' stuff as a cleaner, since it works so well in the tv ads' have you seen it on sale anywhere?
Kevin, the leather in car Seats/panels are fortunately in very good nick, no scuffs or tears, the woman in Germany who had car new, evidently wore smooth outfits, but sadly smoked like a chimney hence the staining.

OK
have used the stuff from www.leathermotive.com
on vinyl. The prep is really aggresive (might be worth testing an area)
