The only thing this told us was that dont buy a Porsche for silly money- dont buy any performance car for silly money. And how much did it cost to make those seats and table, anyway?

Still, the 944 did win...

To be fair, the 924 on Top Gear cost 750 quid, not 1500. It just shows, you get what you pay for. The 928 was shambolic - he MUST have been able to find a better one that. I would not be surprised if he bought it in full knowledge of it's problems to make for better TV...

Anyone know who makes those coffee tables?

I prefer the alloy wheel coffee table over at Northway!

Yes, an enjoyable episode. Particularly liked the door handles on the 944

I can not believe that he sold that for £1400

Paul Anderson makes them - have a look at www.928.org.uk for back stage shots of the show and also you should find his contact details on there. He runs a 928 specialist centre.

The 928 was mine and you can see my comments in general gassing. One blown hose let it down, but as I say in the other thread, they didn't repair it or replace it just kept running it dry and then filling it up with water again. I think any car you do that too is going to start having problems very quickly.

Cheers,

JC

Jconsta6... I never realised that was your 928...

The story on the grapevine was that the cars were bought as a job lot from a slimy lizard proprieter of "Lucky Heather Motors", all 3 of them appeared to be of the usual standard having just completed the companies legendary 104 item PDI check, ensuring that none of the tyres on the car are of the same brand

The choice each of them (apparently) made seemed to be a bit contrived. Small, middle, big. It was like the three bears.

Also, it seemed that some of the mechanical carnage could have been avoided for the sake of few minutes' attention. Good fun though.
