Thanks for all the replies - seems like the best course of action is trying to get the card company to sort it. Clearly from all the responses on here they don't care about their customers, although you'd think that they'd worry about running out of first time buyers at some point!

Definitely up for that. Last track day was a disaster! Drove all the way to Bedford and was about to head out of the pit lane when I spotted a nail in my tyre. No one local had a tyre, so I ended up having to head home. So it turned out to be a very expensive day with no time on track :-(

Did they not feature on a TV programme recently?

(not Rogue Traders or Watchdog sadly)

I too was the victim of Pork Chop (as I called them in my original post 2 years ago which was pulled).

Bought some locking wheel nuts. When they arrived, they were used. I phoned to tell them about it, to be told "we don't sell used parts" repeatedly. I sent a photo to them and they agreed they were used (how did that happen if they don't sell used parts?)

Agreed I would send them back for a refund and I would include a receipt for the cost of return postage, which they would also refund. After a lot of chasing, they confirmed they received them, but they claimed the postage receipt wasn't in the package. It was. The guy at the Post Office put it in there in front of me after he printed it off.

The debate between me and Pork Chop went on with them standing firm. In the end I gave up and promised them I would never buy anything from them again - this didn't bother them.

I am up for adding my case to a list of others to present to Watchdog/Trading Standards.

They are regular advertisers in Porsche Post which surprises me if they are as bent as this thread seems to indicate..

That's good thinking. They advertise in all the usual Porsche publications and on other Porsche forums. E.g. 911uk.com

You'd hope that these reputable forums/publications wouldn't want to be associated with a supplier like with such a poor reputation.

As well as trading standards wouldn't be a bad shout contacting key publications where they advertise and directing them to this thread and pointing out that they are helping support a dubious and untrustworthy business .

I'm happy to help coordinate/organise.

And guess what? None of those sites / publications care 2p so long as the advertising revenue rolls in from them. How long have HWM been advertising in various publications? How many threads have been deleted off here alone? Despite a long history of complaints, they're still in business. QED.

Well I'd like to even up the score here and I have no connection with the business.

Over the last 18 months I have bought several parts for a 996. They were all good quality at a fair price and arrived on time.

No complaints.

Does anyone have a contact for customer services at Porscheshop, or someone senior there?
If only youd asked about them before dealing with them.

Pork Chop don't offer customer service. Instead of messing around Id start involving my card issuer: either a credit card or a Visa debit card and you can start to recover the money. The Visa guarantee is less robust than the S75 protection that a credit card gives you, but youll still get it back.

It's not just advertising as such, they were the screen header sponsor of the Club Championship (their MD attended meetings and gave out prizes) and they're still a sponsor (smaller sticker, number plate width about 1.5 inches high in roughly the number plate positions.
