Well after the High of seeing her move for the first time, its back to normal...
One more idea I had for making easy driver setting changes was to be able to tilt the seat back for people with a longer body. So another Jag seat frame has had to die to sacrifice its parts....
If all goes well I'll be able to adjust the seat forward and back 6" and tilt it back to get more head room, so plenty of prototyping to do..

Seeing the pictures of it rolling around reminded me to give you a heads up about the intake flap screws with those style of intake plenums.
The screw length is stingy (technical term) and there are instances (too many sadly) of them falling out. When then do, they get sucked into the engine and really make a mess.
There was a recall on them, but given the location of your engine I expect you weren't involved officially. To be honest, given your skills you are better off sorting it yourself if you haven't had it covered already. Less hassle and you can control the change better.
Longer screws and an appropriate thread locking agent should be sufficient.
If you are covered, then the above is all irrelevant. Better to ask and be redundant though that the alternative.

Major respect.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm very new to this motor... any good links to the cure to this issue ?
The intake manifolds were all replaced under recall (on the street cars) in their entirety. There wasnt a "fix" as it were. There are definitely issues with the screws on the resonance flaps, and potential issues with shafts also.See attached. Loving paragraph 3 of the letter. Way to put a whole new shine on the situation.
If you pull the intake manifold you should be able to have a simple enough look inside. Given your cars progress, I don't expect it will be too hard to make improved shafts and deal with the fastener issue under your own steam.
Ouch..... whats happening at Porsche engine dept. they do seem to be having a few silly little issues with them in the last few years. Pity as they used to be bullet proof motors. Yes I'll pull the intake apart and have a look, see if the local dealer can tell if its the replaced version or the old one needing a fix....
I need to drop into them and order a few bits so I'll take the intake with me.
Cheers Bud
