Whats the next Porsche to go ballistic?

Given that you were once able to get them for £8k or so and I know someone whose insurance valuation has crept up annually to ~£45k now (it is a very nice one) I would say that they have already gone personally.
Personally I am expecting Porsches to mostly flatten a bit for a while (compared to what they have been doing). Still potential in an early manual 996.1 C2 if you can get it at the lowish end of the market I reckon and I still wouldn't write off the potential for some of those sub-£4k Boxsters to be able to double their money in time with some sympathetic ownership (big percentage, but not much capital growth to be fair though).
But for potential gains I would have expected very early manual 928s are probably on the cusp of a bona-fide classic status boom?
Got to agree with Colin there. The boom is all but over withPersonally I am expecting Porsches to mostly flatten a bit for a while (compared to what they have been doing). a bit of swell left in some key areas..
10 years ago now I bought my first proper Porsche, yes I am that young.
Having owned many 944 and 928 models at the bottom of the price curve
I had bought a truly awful 86 3.2 Targa that had seen better days and
made the best out of it, that was about 2005 and was sick of chasing the paint
on them already. Then I stumbled into coupe thing.
It was an 87 D reg 911 3.2 Carrera Sport Coupe with the G50 Box. It
had about 90k on it and I paid 10K for it.......I bought it from
Sean Lockyear Specialist Cars deep in darkest Yorkshire Dales, where is he
now????? He sold me it needing a clutch and never told me, and it also needed
a rebuild, his parting words were yeah you are the right man for the car" And yes
I was as I knew very little about Porsches or even cars in general,I knew prices,
and a lot about models. Anyway I had it rebuilt and did the clutch by RPM in Glasgow
and sold it only to be sued by the buyer as the rebuild had been crap and had not
stood the test of time, not my fault. That's Graeme Crombie for you at RPM, who has
just incidentally started back up again.
He has done other work for me since well...Just shooting from the hip.
Do not be drawn in by everyone....
It is like that cartoon character at Hendon Way Motors, we are buying a car from him
just now, its just one lie after the other, its a total comedy, I have it all recorded......
Albeit a good car, he is a pathological liar..
Dreaming of a world when realistic Porsche prices existed and consequently the prospect
of a 911 ownership was attainable for many a car enthusiast. I was one
and did not have the money to have 40 - 50k in my toy that is required now
for largely the same thing, give or take........
As above you have to spend money on them. As the values are now so high, a £50k car can fast become a £75k car in no time at all. This in turn will make people, think twice about buying the car in question. Go back pre 07 the cars, were less so you could make it a good one for less than £50k. There were more buyers, around at those prices. So many people buy just for the wrong reasons?
You buy a Porsche you must spend money on it each year. Many people do not hence, so many poor ones for sale. As buyers find out to there cost.

Mint low mileage 986 S for £14k
Personally think these look good value for minters.
