Have to say I'm a little nervous about next week.
Will it be special enough without being north of 80k with the right spec?
If there's a manual & it's focused enough in limited no's - it'll be hard to pass by.
The other big "if" revolves around whether the DP at my OPC decides to get me one!

I don,t go for any of that, and no point looking around, we only have 4 days to wait for a real spec in full.
Stuck my 3k down with the previously lodged LOI looking forward to the spec sheet and reaction on forums.Think in the meantime I need to get a test drive of the current cayman GTs.......

Based on what? Would you not feel that similar stuff in that level ie Moton 2 ways, MCS 2 ways etc would all be comparable and as such which you select is as much about where you plan on getting them set up, what local support is like etc?
What about packaging of remotes on road cars? Would non remotes not be worth a consideration based on this alone?
Lets say the GT4 has a 3.8 engine with circa 385HP, weight is somewhere between 1300kg and 1350kg, X73 suspension, buckets, 6 pot front brakes, 4 pot rears, the front bumper like the test mule and the rear wing like the yellow car. Would that get you to the dealership or would you stay home?

All of the above without the rear wing!IMHO if the cr had the 3.8 we all hoped for I would not be replying to this post!

Agree 100% on the wing.IMHO if the cr had the 3.8 we all hoped for I would not be replying to this post!
It'd be great if they did more than just slot the 3.8 in from the 991.
A 3.6 would certainly make it more bespoke,if only on paper, so to speak!

depends on price and steering for me. fioran0 said:

Pretty potent if this HP & torque increase is across the power band. I'd be a bit disappointed with the engine detuned to this level from a spec sheet PoV - Would have preferred lower capacity and higher specific output, for something that bit more special but I don't think they'll do it given recent engine history troubles.
Ultimately I'd stay home though and be happy with the GTS as the optimal road spec if the GT4 is the track ready special.
As a road car it needs to lose the wing imo, but this is a GT signature.

Interesting that the (presumed) wing is attracting so much comment. All the GT cars have them don't they? i don't remember -ve noise on the GT3 thread!
Are the objections to this wing, or to any wing "on a Cayman road car"?
Just that the wing looks messy compared to the gt3 affair so I rather it not thereAre the objections to this wing, or to any wing "on a Cayman road car"?
