Had the cars appeared earlier when the LOI went in then I might have got away with it but things have changed over the last year or so.
I'd like to say that Guildford OPC were working very hard to get me a car and I will continue to build a relationship with them.
I guess I could have taken it and flipped it straight out but other cars will come along and I don't want to be black-balled in the future.
Onwards and upwards!

I agree re the dash - it makes a huge difference.
The dual-zone climate really should be standard. Not for the zones, but for the thermostatic control. It's an easy omission and a potential source of regret every time you drive the car...
Slavishly following internet wisdom I spec'd the smokers package on mine and now wish I hadn't. I've got an extra power socket I won't ever use as I don't do loose leads and devices in the cabin, and nowhere central to put my gate/garage transponder. Doh...!
Agree with all of those, and the smokers pack lighter is the main annoyance, as the garage transponder now lives in the door pocket where can easily get lost. I did not know this ...
"To further improve the driving dynamics as well as the driving and vibration comfort,
the Sport Chrono Package additionally includes dynamic transmission mounts."
The configurator makes no mention of "dynamic transmission mounts" unless you watch the video.

My understanding was that you needed to spec Sport Chrono to get the dynamic transmission mounts on "ordinary" Caymans, but the GT4 has them anyway. I could be wrong."To further improve the driving dynamics as well as the driving and vibration comfort,

Would appreciate any views on the below please
The thing currently confusing me is what you need to spec in terms of stitching so that the dash is in leather - assuming that there is a difference to leatherette (whatever that is)

If you spec the basic leather option as you have the dash should be leather with grey stitching I think, as will the other leather parts. The thing currently confusing me is what you need to spec in terms of stitching so that the dash is in leather - assuming that there is a difference to leatherette (whatever that is)

If you want a different colour you have to add the deviated stitching option in red or yellow.
With the leatherette option the dash will be in vinyl.

I would add LWBs and Xenons to focus on the driving experience and delete PCM & Sound Package if it adds up too much. Also, the passenger footwell net is no cost and useful. I think you have the leather and stitching on the dash and top of the doors as you selected leather interior. Option 78 (£1344) as per your spec covers the majority of the dash in leather, with matching coloured stitching. The leatherette is the free Option 28 which means much of the door cappings and dash are just leatherette - which is a fake leather, reasonable but not the real thing. The doors also miss out on the aluminium trim piece which is only included with Option 78.The thing currently confusing me is what you need to spec in terms of stitching so that the dash is in leather - assuming that there is a difference to leatherette (whatever that is)

Option CZW (Extended interior package dashboard trim in leather) adds in the missing parts of the dash in leather - mostly around the air vents, speakers and door ends. Its is pricy at £725 but it also adds quite a bit of additional coloured stitch to these areas which is otherwise black. Option XNS (£220) adds leather and coloured stitch to the steering column casing, which is otherwise plastic and not stitched. Not strictly part of the dash, but closely related really.
The launch car at Geneva had CZW fitted but not XNS, these are the pictures I took at the time - hope they help explain.
