Next level Gra. Toby has both 720s and 997 GT2 3.9 RS with 800PS. Such a nice pairing comfort and track car but I suspect 720s light years better at both. How are you getting on with 720s Toby and is a 765 LT on the horizon? Stick or twist? smile

My GT2 is very modified as you know, solid links all round, Tractive DDA suspension, Drexler LSD, £100K 3.9 motor running K24s, it really is incredible to drive the engine response and torque delivery are instant and savage it really is a superb drive and of course changing gear youself is a lot of fun.
Getting into the 720S, it is like a car from the future I love everything about it, the way the engine dominates the car, vibrating through the steering wheel, the traction, the brakes, the grip.... all otherworldly, the nly thing I miss is the manual change but then that is not what this car is about.

I've had a deposit down on the 765LT for a long time and have specced one up which would keep me happy at £300K but like lots of other people I'm losing a lot of money daily during this shutdown and this together with the massive pill I would have to take to change will likely make me keep the 720S.... I am actually amassing all carbon exterior parts for my 720 so it is going to look even sweeter.

Some pics from VMAX and a race against a Huracan at VMAX. Huracan had been remapped and decat. 600LT due to race on 29 June VMAX smile

9e have made our 997 turbo even quicker since that run against the H with nothing more than a new set of do88 big pack intercoolers.

Above 600LT owner weeping after multiple races they look the same but different and same result. We launch together. Thats unfortunately the gap after 1.5 sec as turbo leaps ahead literally 60ft against a Mcl every launch.

Am booked on VMAX through Aug, Sept and Oct so hopefully will race a few more cars like 720s, 992 turbo s and Pista and post vids and my VMAX days are nearly over as the 997 turbo is exactly where I want her now just focusing on chassis. 40k reliable miles to date with 9e power kit and approaching 100k miles in total. Car still feels like just she left the factory other than drivers seat slightly worn but really not too badly at all. Zero squeaks and rattles after 14 years!

I should mention she's been the fastest non built car at VMAX for a few years now. There's forged engines limping off the track and this stock engine bolt on package still running with the fox and the hounds after 14 years smile

Ran same top speed as this yikes

Another brill day at VMAX 200 today and car just gets quicker and quicker hitting VMAX of 210mph not the quickest day with rain etc.

Hit 200mph in standing mile and 0-300kph in 22 secs. Car ran well as usual and just gets quicker and quicker. Mr JWW in his new 992 turbo s was edged out at the finish line I believe? Epic race of old vs new and honestly with a set of tractive dampers on mine I wouldn't fancy his chances on track in new turbo either. She looks very heavy. SWMBO raced him too in her 991 smile

Many thanks to 9e

Mezger. What a leg can't wait to see the vid on Facebook pretty sure I nicked it but it was nip and tuck as I went through the gears hehe

Awesome job IMI A. Lovely to chat with you today. Apologies but I had to shoot. I still owe you a coffee and a burger. Did the rain hit hard after I left. Glad I managed to reach my target of 200mph. 200.66mph. Two out the four runs I made were in the 200mph. Impressive for a 2 tonne flying brick smile

Awesome IMI A. Thanks for posting up those numbers.
I was a bit annoyed with myself on the way home as I had forgotten about taping up the gaps on the bonnet.
If I had more time I should have had a bite to eat with you. Let the car cool. Tape it up and ran again.
Hey Toby. Any thoughts on why IMI A's 9E28 is faster than the RS Tuning GT2RS special.
Great looking car though

997 GT2 by RS Tuning must have cost £350,000 total inc donor car looking at all those upgrades.

Incredible that a bolt on power kit from 9e costing £20,995 + vat is faster than a custom forged build 3.9 RS Tuning motor costing £100,000.

crikey eek as much as that. Wow. And a relatively mildly modded 997 Turbo S is faster. I am gobsmacked

Only a £1000 remap required for a 997 turbo s. The 997 turbo s was generation 2 with DFI engine and PDK only. Same with 991 turbo s.

997 GT2 RS and even 720s beaten real world by a mapped PDK gen 2 997 turbo!

Gra I believe I’m producing more power than the 7 GT2 3.9 RS Tuning rated at 800PS

On race fuel I’m at 870PS ish according to 9e or 760 whp. Seems high but my numbers back it up solidly. Consistent too 40,000 miles with no break downs.

I had overboost issues in 5th and 6th gear after gear change where the engine would go into limp for a second or two whilst it adjusted boost down then resumed... Think it possibly was to do with the BP fuel I had put in, normally runs on 99 RON VPower but there weren't any Shell stations nearby, TBH I'm amazed it ran as fast as 207mph it must have been that tail wind, if it didn't go into limp it would probably be second on that list smile

Imi's car's launches are incredible, the thing virtually does a wheelie !!

Awesome shot IMI A. That launches incredibly well.
Overboost is certainly going to cause potential issues.
MS109 is going to protect the engine.
On my second run I just watched my AFR gauge to make sure I was not running lean. It stayed within the safety zone.
Third run I watched the boost gauge. Running a solid 15lb and then 16lb as it changed up into 6th gear.
I think I will have a chat with Josh in the states and see if we can run a different map for MS109 fuel.
