Cheers Gra. This modding thing is a slippery slope as you know.

I've not done anything else since five years ago other than 9e give me a new tune everytime they update it. So they used to quote approx. 640PS for this power kit and they now claim 680PS ish on v power. On a cool day she'll give bit more.

Next stage is forged engine with meth for cooling (£15k) forged gearbox (£10k) and trick suspension (£10k). This allows 800PS Mad Max mode to be run all the time on V Power. Or changeover fig to Mcl 720s which I like a lot is £120k for virtually a brand new car. Similar choice and position to 5 years ago smile

Thanks. I'm due to try a friends 9e 28 on Bilstein B16 Damptronics again. Will then decide which coilovers. Ohlins, KW, DDA Tractive other options. I went for these 380mm brakes from a friend - can't wait to fit! I may just do these last two things then shes finished at 680PS with chassis and brakes to match.

Having said that it would be lovely to run her at 800PS all the time which is doable! The slippery slope evil

Hi T, If I reduce weight to from 1585kg to 1520kg do you think this will get me to 0-300kph in 23 secs? On a good day I'm at 26-27 secs 0-300kph on pump fuel with 680PS if not a little more actually. Might be worth considering rather than more power as after 680PS lots of additional cooling needed.

Yes would need to run with rods and headstuds I imagine to bring torque in like Porsche do. The difference between my 997 and SWMBOS's 991 laughable in this respect where low down response in newer car with PDK savage. You can block shift from 4th to 6th like I did in the 0-300kph above and still run very fast 0-300kph in 997. I will try at next VMAX but I think I can maybe start in 2nd gear block shift to 4th then 6th and still hit 0-300kph in 23-24 secs. You still land in the sweet spot of the torque curve around 4000rpm starting in second moving to fourth and then sixth gear so still a reasonably wide power band and very closely stacked gearing make her perfect for getting up a runway. You should try at next VMAX on race fuel if you like. 720s a freak absolutely love it. I love your GT2 more though Carlsberg pairing wink

Haha at 800PS a few kgs here or there makes little or no difference!

Very nice can't wait to see what they look like on. Are you still going back to VTGs with 997?

I imagine I'm being over critical comparing to throttle response to 991. Compared to a friends built 997 turbo with garrett 3076 I'm literally gone if we both floor it at 70mph in fourth together and thats a very fast car! I wouldn't bother with yours she's a brute as is driving

Next level Gra. Toby has both 720s and 997 GT2 3.9 RS with 800PS. Such a nice pairing comfort and track car but I suspect 720s light years better at both. How are you getting on with 720s Toby and is a 765 LT on the horizon? Stick or twist? smile

Some pics from VMAX and a race against a Huracan at VMAX. Huracan had been remapped and decat. 600LT due to race on 29 June VMAX smile

9e have made our 997 turbo even quicker since that run against the H with nothing more than a new set of do88 big pack intercoolers.

Above 600LT owner weeping after multiple races they look the same but different and same result. We launch together. Thats unfortunately the gap after 1.5 sec as turbo leaps ahead literally 60ft against a Mcl every launch.

Am booked on VMAX through Aug, Sept and Oct so hopefully will race a few more cars like 720s, 992 turbo s and Pista and post vids and my VMAX days are nearly over as the 997 turbo is exactly where I want her now just focusing on chassis. 40k reliable miles to date with 9e power kit and approaching 100k miles in total. Car still feels like just she left the factory other than drivers seat slightly worn but really not too badly at all. Zero squeaks and rattles after 14 years!

I should mention she's been the fastest non built car at VMAX for a few years now. There's forged engines limping off the track and this stock engine bolt on package still running with the fox and the hounds after 14 years smile

Ran same top speed as this yikes

Another brill day at VMAX 200 today and car just gets quicker and quicker hitting VMAX of 210mph not the quickest day with rain etc.

Hit 200mph in standing mile and 0-300kph in 22 secs. Car ran well as usual and just gets quicker and quicker. Mr JWW in his new 992 turbo s was edged out at the finish line I believe? Epic race of old vs new and honestly with a set of tractive dampers on mine I wouldn't fancy his chances on track in new turbo either. She looks very heavy. SWMBO raced him too in her 991 smile

Many thanks to 9e

Mezger. What a leg can't wait to see the vid on Facebook pretty sure I nicked it but it was nip and tuck as I went through the gears hehe

Gra I believe I’m producing more power than the 7 GT2 3.9 RS Tuning rated at 800PS

On race fuel I’m at 870PS ish according to 9e or 760 whp. Seems high but my numbers back it up solidly. Consistent too 40,000 miles with no break downs.

We ran quickest day March 18 VMAX I think you were there Chris? Not recorded as so much water spray speed traps didn't pick up 215mph run but I'll hopefully hit that top speed which the car is limited to by gearing in Sept or Oct if we get cool and dry weather at VMAX.

991.2 turbo s v 9e 997.1 turbo

Had fun against these supercars at VMAX last month. Raced an F12 too will stick up vid if I manage to get hold of it. Didn't go last week thankfully. Bullet dodged.

Aventador SV

992 turbo s

991.2 turbo s cab

Almost 100,000 miles. Still drives no different to they day I picked her up other than extra thrust and maybe a bit flatter through corners smile
