Hi Gra, I've just given him another nudge for you. If you ask again in a few weeks hopefully he'll have found some new footage for you. He's very good like that but I think he's still in shock at the mo after last weekend so give him some time please but its on his to do list.

Those that dont know VMAX/Autovivendi a small business main focus is a supercar club/events so I imagine like all small businesses they are all hands on deck in the current climate. Look at the cars their members get and then compare to what happened last weekend at VMAX there is massive disconnect.

My pleasure. SWMBO took her own camera man with her in the end she got so annoyed waiting for footage mostly low quality maybe worth doing yourself too in the future if you do go again. A typical day out at VMAX smile

That was a very good watch. Having you own camera guy is a great idea. Thinking about having a race gas tune
200mph in a two tonne car is job very well done but always nice to go even faster with bit of rocket fuel! Lots of Amercicana muscle cars at VMAX nowadays wink

Well its been 6 years since these mods. Turbo has been faultless over those 6 years and many events and runs at VMAX using rocket fuel running the mezger as hard a possible and she has really performed well.

Next round of mods via are:-

Tractive Coilovers
993 RS engine mounts
GT2 front ARB
Paint brake callipers black.
GT2 brake cooling ducts

Yes you'll have to come - she has better brakes now too wink

Final upgrades planned over winter are full GT2 aerokit maybe even with a colour change to PTS historic colour. Give her a new suit and little extra downforce to go with handling and pace. Took SWMBO's turbo s to RPM the other day - felt a bit slow hehe

Inspired by Snakebite had first quote for GT2 aero and colour change from RPM. She's off to OPC Reading for second quote next as Porsche AG have started a restomod biz too.

She goes into 9e for her second round of mods today focusing on chassis.

GT2 engine mounts
GT2/3 RS brake cooling ducts front and rear
Tractive coilovers
Gearbox mounts
RSS rear toe steer kit
Brake callipers to black

Very excited. Final touches to my daily snotter before I confirm which shop gets the re paint with GT2 aero and maybe even full strip to bare shell and full colour change to Porsche factory standard smile

From this to this would be nice evil

If anyone with a 997 turbo wants to pop down to 9e to try new tractive touring line or see what their 700PS 9e 28 tuning kit is like feel free to reach out to Ken at 9e. He will have my turbo for a few weeks dialling in the new suspension etc.

I drove our 991.2 turbo s back yesterday from 9e. Be very interesting to benchmark this Tractive suspension against the 991. Will also benchmark against 997 .1 turbo with lowering springs with DSC and friends who have both B16 damptronic comfort and clubsport wink

I'm very happy with the way the car goes indeed. I actually hope the new suspension isn't a step too far for me. I love the supple ride on our poor UK roads and spending 5000 miles a few summers ago with a 9m 993 RS convinced me my turbo should really handle a bit better wink
Im, can you share the spec of the Tractive kit you are having installed, I looked at the new UK distributors website and I can't quite work out what is what ?
Also what make, specific type (link if poss) and rating of springs will you be having ?
TIA
As far as I'm aware they're the first set in UK for a 997.1 turbo of their new Touring Line. No different to your Tractive other than top mounts so I'm told but worth you speaking to Ken/9e they've been heavily involved with UK spring rates etc. He's told me the rates but my fish brain has forgotten hehe

Thanks Toby.

I'm currently on the softest springs available for a 997 turbo way softer than stock. H&R -20mm progressive springs. 30nm up front and 50nm at the rear.

The Eibachs are 40nm and 110nm and they've been developed/chosen for this UK Touring Line Kit. Here's list of spring rates for all our models. If they're too stiff (a possibility) we will of course change them. No other parts needed for a 997.1 turbo has all the stuff for tractive to work from factory. Straight plug and play.

What rates are you running on your swift springs front and rear out of interest?

At the moment plan is to stay black so I think last minute change to gold callipers should work well.

If green the contenders are signal green as above, mint green or oak met green.

Full OEM GT2 aero ordered from OPC via 9e at fantastic discount. Many thanks to 9e for making it happen. They’re also liaising with OPC Reading to give her a proper glass out respray so all the paint matches perfectly with new GT2 aero etc.
