I absolutely love especially on this Meissen Blue 991 Speedster which is to die for. Even like the wheels colour coded very 80s Porsche.

Various shades from Gulf Blue to Voodoo

Various shades Mint Green to Willow

^^^^ Its one of my favourite colour PTS Olive Green - have thought about it. Love it but really not sure it would look so good on a 997 GT2 looks well a bit drab below.

I love the green on this Fiat. Its like faded mint green with white

This is how GT2 would look in similar mint ish green

and Signal Green

Just for illustration you need to use your imagination I wish we had a colour render. I have seen these non met colours on a 997 and doesn't always look as good as on other models. Its a beautiful colour Olive Green I once saw a 76 930 in this colour to die for.

So when exactly will you know what colour your car is going to be painted ?
Not Spoken to Ken/9e maybe 8-12 weeks.

Love maritime on 964 but think it may make a 997 turbo look slightly too plastic.

I hope so Chris as I want them to do the repair work on my drivers sill notwithstanding the contaminated paint all over the car which also needs sorting. You remember the damage you were there it was very light but some nasty nicks.

This is how the driver side sill should look on a 997 turbo i.e. arrow straight. I would say its one of the most important design cue / shoulder lines on both on 997/987.

This is the repaired sill ABT returned the car with and bit worse in real life/3d it meanders all the way down the sill line.

The repair bill to repair the sub standard repair and substandard glass out respray. These things happen my fault trusting others advice. She's now off to Porsche HQ for pampering and deserves it the way she's been mistreated. Cant wait to get her back (even if black but what an opportunity to do something funky) smile

Google review I gave re Bob and my personal experience of both him and his firm. Upside is I get to do my dream project so alls well that ends well smile

Agree hence why I want to send her to Central Operations at Reading to a proper team of restorers and not just anyone. Doesn't make any financial sense at all but to me it does for personal reasons. She goes pretty well too wink

I have to say by far the most striking PTS Pure Orange and love Speed Yellow. Pair of Opal Fruits smile

Saw this gorgeous 993 GT2 rep whilst bombing down A40

Hahaha I see PH hasn't changed one iota. I do not think I can ever beat this post hence au revoir PH hehe

She will be on display at 9e for a few weeks. If you'd like to have look around or any queries on costs etc Ken happy to share.

Finally many thanks to Porsche Central Operations PRG and in particular Muriel Warthmann, Andy Keywood, and Ian Chapple and their wonderful team @ PRG Reading. If you love your Porsche and want to restore or upgrade etc all these fine people can make your dreams happen contact details below. Thanks to Ken, Adam, 9e, Scott @ SMC detailing too. You've all genuinely hit a home run with Minty 2 thumbup

Edited to say are we sure julian987R isn't in fact the famous 911R aka David? I will update this post from time to time i.e. when interior etc done if that is you David just for you. Love hearts for you smile

Exhaust tips on. Didn't have to change anything other than tips as Europipe 1 & 2 are plug and play on both 997.1 turbo and 997 GT2. That exhaust is 76mm throughout so the tips are bigger than a regular 997 GT2 too evil

She is finished and at 9e for next few weeks being shaken down.

Some down force an ordinary 997 turbo and 997 Carrera S have a fair bit of lift at 170mph so this aero really is beneficial at higher speeds I regularly do on track.

Literally back to the future they have given me back a car built better than factory did in 2007. Paint quality is show car finish. Porsche Special Ops have told me they have too much work on for Porsche GB so will not be doing any of these restomods straight out of Porsche Central Operations, Reading for the forseeeable future. I've advised Andy Keywood that if they do perhaps ever have bandwidth for another customer 911 I will buy an old beat up 964 RS and we can do a 3.8 RS which is my favourite Porsche evil

For the interior will drive her as is for now and maybe send her for a full bespoke interior retrim in cioccallato leather and alcantra (Ferrari Trim Option) to Porsche Classic AG who are doing some amazing work on old Porsches. This work Reading have carried out on mine to exterior very comparable and vid below of what Porsche Classic AG can do - awesome. She'd win a concours no problem at all IMO. In fact will take her to R21 next year. Already won completely unexpectedly in 2019 for a bit of fun with Yellow Peril. I bet Minty follows in my old 993's footsteps. You should have seen the black CGTs owners face when my yellow beetle got best over all car at R21. His face was priceless. If its any consolation I'd have given first place to the CGT but judges were all unanimous.Yellow Peril had the x factor that day for them smile

One of the final touches to this build hence glad we’ve been patient. Ken/9e kindly sourced some as new heated folding buckets. Webbing via 9e to mint green. Can’t be many 997s with heated folding buckets as heating was only a cost option on 991 folding buckets which were themselves optional. These are no longer in production and you can’t even buy them from Porsche AG. Very happy indeed get car back end of this month after 15 months. smokin

Final few touches before delivery from 9e. Mesh to grill area.

Covered 1000 miles in Minty since completion. If I could only pick one area of my 997 to update out of all the amazing work by 9e/PCO on powertrain, aero, new paint, interior etc it would have to be the Tractive suspension, RSS rear toe steer kit and GT2 engine and gearbox mounts.

I was sceptical about Tractive.

Minty has been absolutely transformed in terms of murdering UKs wet and leafy b roads. Body control is now at levels you'd imagine a world rally car down a bumpy tarmac section. You could offer me any of the modern supercars which I've also had the pleasure of driving as friends own like F12, 600LT, 992 turbo s. I'd not swap. That good. Okay I'd kick her out of bed for a CGT or Singer DLS money no object but would I then still be out on cold, dark and wet winter mornings for a dawn raids? Brilliant and transformational if you like fast road driving.

Ende gut, alles gut thumbup
