Interesting post over on Rennlist this evening. One of the members met with AP at Weissach and it sounds like the GT4RS is not going to make an appearance any time soon:
"1. GT4RS - when I asked will there be a GT4RS his response was - "I think that is too many letters for a GT4, I don't like too much script on the rear end". He followed up with, no not now, not In this generation, and no plans in the future as it would be too close in price to the GT3. "
What was also interesting is that a GT4 with PDK could be announced next week. Here's the link to the thread:

It's a strange one. Where are they going to find capacity to build these extra cars given that it's rumored that production of the GT4 ends next March? Maybe all along they planned manual only until 1Q next year, followed by a choice of manual or PDK from 1Q 2016 onwards. Or it's a reference to the Cup car (even though the guy on Rennlist stated this was not the case).
Roll on Oct/ Nov when my car gets delivered and I can finally enjoy driving it rather than just thinking about it!

PDK on Monday!! Wasn't expecting that.
I heard similar rumours last week at my trip to the Nordschleife, something about a new GT4-related announcement at the IAA Frankfurt. Chalked it up as the usual rumour nonsense even though the guy had close ties to Weissach. If anything it will be the official presentation of the GT4 Cup developed in cooperation with Manthey. I doubt we will see a PDK option before the 981.2 facelift GT4.
