These are passing fast vehicles like they were parked it looks like they're racing on the street and everything else is keeping to the speed limit.

Mr Cmoose that is a fantastic post . Id slightly disagree one one point , the new breed ARE fun , fantastic really but compared to a cgt the new breed feel like through electronics they are TRYING to feel like something like the CGT when the CGT is the real deal ( imho obviously ) . Its so pure they feel diluted somehow , its hard to explain .However they do more things brilliantly than the CGT ever could . I wrote something on reenlist a few people have asked me repeat here . Im modifying it and will post on the Porsche section when I have a minute . Im trying to do the experience justice .
I can say the winner of the p1 vs 918 vs La Ferrari is the Carrera GT , some of the time .

I'd heard the owner of the 918, the nutter, picked it up brand new and took it straight to Spa!
I'm kicking myself actually as I had a friend there that weekend in a blue 964 C4 and he had invited me to book a space and join him in my Caterham. Work prevented that sadly. I can only imagine how cool it would have been for the Caterham driver on the Kimmel straight having the Laf and 918 blasting past!!
He picked the car up Thursday and was on his way to spa Friday I'm kicking myself actually as I had a friend there that weekend in a blue 964 C4 and he had invited me to book a space and join him in my Caterham. These cars move in whole new performance window.......like nothing before, don't forget that the temp was low, sure GT3 owner's know what MPSC2s are like in below 8d., also think I am right in saying that you can only overtake with the consent of the car in front..
Very impressive driving, best track vid for a long time....
Tyres were not the best , you can see the braking zones were hilariously early . Thanks for the kind words re the track driving . Better videos coming next week . Big guns .Very impressive driving, best track vid for a long time....

Without having driven any of the hyperbrids or being ever likely to do so, i can definitely believe that they do some things better than the cgt, but those will I suspect largely be comfort/usability related....and if speed was the main criteria then again yes the new hybrid cars will hammer the cgt. However for the ideal road (in germany naturally!) or a clear Spa/Ring trackday in good weather, I'll take some serious convincing that any road car is going to offer a more fulfilling drive than the GT......that admittedly has quite a lot of caveats i realise though to be fair as well but realistically, no one buys cars of this type to be everyday highly user friendly cars either surely! However they do more things brilliantly than the CGT ever could

P.S i think i remember reading that you have Cup2s on the CGT but 345s rather than 335s per factory size.....? Did you have any tyre clearance issues with the wider tyres and considerably squarer tyre shoulder?

Faster , more comfy and usable but for one danger ride on track or road the gt is on another planet . The interaction is on another planet and I for one find the LA ferrari sound artificial , the p1 sound just irritating , samey and intrusive . The 918 when angry just sounds very guttural and angry. Cgt sounds so very very good
The cups fit fine actually l no worries at all matey
