With prices of Gen 1 cars now over £90K in some instances, this LHD Gen 2 looks an absolute bargain - yes or no?

It's been for sale for at least two months, so I'd have to say "no" to the absolute part of your question.

However, it's a good spec with front axle lift etc.

When has 'bargain' and 'OPC' gone in the same sentence (apart from being chosen for a GT4 or 991 RS)?

OPC pricing is probably the most competitive as far as the gt3 is concerned. Just look at 991.

no one wants LHD in the UK ! that's why it looks cheap, but due to it not selling you can see in the real world NO one wants LHD.

That's why it's £20k less than a RHD equivalent.

Agreed. People talk about it, but ultimately LHD is not desirable. It's also a comfort car, so i think the price is keen as opposed to a bargain.

I recently paid £75k for a 997.1 from an OPC - effectively what it cost new. Surprising to see they are still going up; it would look like i could potentially make about £5k in under 2 months!

neither look good value, the markets mad.

the LHD is unsellable and the 997.1 way over priced.

That may all be true demon but they do at least have a motorsport engine unlike the GT4 that we both have our names down for that are expected to be worth 10k more over list

The market is what it is. I can see why you'd be slightly bitter given that Spyder and Cayman R pricing has remained relatively stagnant while that of GT cars has grown substantially.

It's still 15-20k more than buying one in some European countries.

When I looked early in the new year there were probably 10 7GT3's at OPC within Europe. There maybe 1 or 2 now.

I'm sure that some just won't feel comfortable in a LHD car, but for a £20K saving I'd happily consider the LHD option. Certainly as a weekend and track day toy it makes even more sense.

Speed Yellow is a great colour. That's not such a good deal for most people as there's vat and duty to add.

Not bitter at all as I love my 2 cars and they are NOT for sale, I maybe slighty annoyed I sold a mint GT3 for £38k and that's £65k now, but that's life. but only annoyed for an investment angle.
but as you wanted that car for £36k you could be bitter you did not pay me £38k also lol

While you still flip a lot of cars I have been like a pig in mud the last 2 years with the current cars I enjoy driving, the stagnant values means I have had 2 years free motoring and they have not gone up enough for me to think "o st I better not drive them"

I still cannot better the Spyder as a usable weekend fun car.

ok there are 1 or 2 people in the market for LHD but lets face it LHD cars don't sell well in the UK.
