Detailing a CGTS. Advice sought
Discussion
My car is nearly a year old and I want to have her detailed. I was thinking of Gtechniq and have been quoted the Silver treatment at £535. Gtechniq Smart Glass upgrade at £50 and Gtecniq Wheel Armour (complete wheel) at £125. All inc. VAT. Total £710.00.
I'm based in North Essex and would be pleased to hear from those of you who have had this done and whether the extra £200 for the liquid crystal treatment is worth it? Also any recommendations for detainers around my area.
Let's have some pictures as well please, before and after would be great.
Thanks.....

I'd recommend talking to Nathan and Cambridge Autogleam. He's now based in Essex and has looked after my cars for years.I'm based in North Essex and would be pleased to hear from those of you who have had this done and whether the extra £200 for the liquid crystal treatment is worth it? Its over the bridge for you mate but Rob Tomlin at Supercar detailing is one of the best in the business absolutely loves his cars (especially Porsche) and a top bloke. Some of the cars that he has had through his doors recently both private and from dealers is confirmation.
I've heard good things about this guy too - think he does a lot of cars for Porsche Tonbridge?I've had this done by the guys @ KDS.
They did a light correction and then full GTechniq Crystal Serum, Wheel Armour - everything.
It looks good - seems durable - unfortunately hasn't done much by way of chip protection, but makes it a bit easier to get a the car looking good when you wash it yourself.

I'd give Gtechniq the thumbs up and have always had completed paint correction work finished with C1 Crystal Lacquer - if you're having a full paint correction it makes sense to protect all that hard work
It can be topped up every now with C2 Liquid Crystal very easily by spraying a fine mist onto the bodywork when drying it with a soft drying cloth / microfibre cloth. (I think i've got the 'C' references correct)
I've had it applied to several cars and it makes cleaning them so much easier and quicker and I don't have to faff about with polishes. As previous poster noted, it doesn't protect against stone chips
I've taken cars to Kelly at KDS Keltec in Gillingham too. Keltec did a complete re-paint of an Enzo for a well know Ferrari specialist, and a brand new Aventador had a full paint correction and detail straight from the factory. There are plenty of before and after images on their website

I've have had 2 cars paint corrected and Gteqniq'd at KDS and would endorse its use, esp if you're not into spending 5 hours washing and waxing your car every time :-)
Hi, Have just collected a 2009 997 Gen 2 C2S from Dove House in Northants. They prep their cars to the heighest level anyway but decided to have the Gtechniq platinium service applied. I believe this is the most superior Gtechniq service & products available & can only be applied by a certified Gtechniq detailer. It covers everything from exterior body, glass, wheels & the interior & comes with a five year guarantee. The car looks amazing - like new. It was relatively cheap for me as they preped the car to machine polish. But if you went to Dove House the cost would probably be circa £500. You also get a nice Gtechniq case full of goodies that you will actually use. It was def well worth having done. I know its a trek for you but can't recommend them highly enough.
