it's obviously going to be slightly dulled to a GTS Coupe but we know that anyway you forgot to add "all in my opinion" to your post

This ones 'opinion' is the only one that matters...in his 'opinion' obviously.
This is his life, just a heads up.

You've lost me. Easily done, sorry. Was referring to the car you chopped the 991 gt3 in for?

ok threads falling / fallen apart.......everyone's entitled to their opinions lets just say that one mans meat is another mans poison and I'm guessing if you try and compare the GTS Coupe to the GTS Targa it's always going to be like comparing Apples to Oranges......Targa GTS flawed possibly but sit back and watch the values soar in 10 or so years time

Dunno about that. Turn up every couple of weeks to hurl insults at various posters - strange behaviour, no?

Well I enjoyed reading it even though I don't agree with some the observations made by cmoose. Overal well written and some nice pictures. Nice one....

Auto blip - So regardless of engine and road speed, the 'blip' is delivered with just the right magnitude, and timed just as the gear lever goes through the last few mm of travel of the gate. For some reason, a PDK 'blip' feels synthetic, yet the the GT4's blip doesn't...strange...!

I love the engineering of it..! You can switch it off, and try and do it yourself, but whats the point when it does a better job than me flexing my right toe..!

The GT4 has made me want a Boxster Spyder too...!
Same - big want smile

Trust me, I do get the whole 'doing it yourself'...I used to have a Group A Evo 6 rallycar with a dog box. Few things focus the mind like flying along at over 100mph on a wet gravel road down to a hairpin....you're braking hard with your left foot, and banging the gears in while rev matching.....its off the scale as far as excitement goes, and the loss of traction when the transmission locks up if you don't get it right is pretty hairy, and keeps you on your toes. But I still find the auto blip a novelty in the GT4.....

Re a GT4 PDK, it wouldn't suit the character of the car. The 991 GT3 is perfectly suited to a PDK, and I like that car too.....

What have we started with this discussion....!
It's brilliant , loads of posts about a cars and driving and not a single mention of values - oh st , sorry !!! smile

EDIT : oh dear , just finished reading the thread - we've had values and squabbling - I take it back

FWIW - seeing someone mentioned values - can't see a Targa being worth st in the future . Oh st I've done it again - sorry !!

Agate grey metallic.

Suits the car far better than the red IMHO - for some reason, red doesn't work for me on the targa although I like it on my Cayman. I think the targa is a stunning looking car - it probably is correctly identified above as the gin palace of the 991 range but if I had one, I just wouldn't care.

I didn't know Agate came in metallic - thought it was a rich flat colour - looks much darker than the Agate I know - either way , very nice colour smile

Very good car the 2wd GTS-PDK. Felt more night&day to a regular 991 C2S than the 997 GTS did to a 997 C2S. Still not sure it's *special* enough as a weekend toy but as a daily (if you're looking for a new car with a £100k budget) it would be hard not to give it a home. Would like to try it in manual - now the box has been improved.

That looks ace but I wouldn't park a 100k car on a council estate.
