Great read. One of the things I love about good automotive writing is a sense of being in the car, feeling it, when in practice I'll never even see it in the metal.
Let's be honest, the car characterises what many of us aspire to, whatever our starting point, but our threshold for compromise is much lower, be it on cost, comfort or something else.
Thanks to you both.
Very good point. Everything is ultimately a compromise when considering a project like this. My initial instincts were to rip out the aircon, electric Windows and sound insulation but in the interests of protecting as much of the car's original integrity as possible I relented. Actually glad that I did now , it makes the car a more viable road car and more enjoyable for it. great looking car
My LHD '93 964 C2 is also a non sunroof, non rear wiper cars etc and I love it . Only mods I have done is fit PSS10's set to RS+5mm and RS geo. Going to keep it as stock elsewhere, although would like a lightweight flywheel .
There is somethig about a C2 964 that get under your skin

There's a lot to love about 964's.
They are so compact carrying the classic 911 shape.
The RS versions have that sense of "hard as nails" durability that you can really have fun with.
And, no big wing !! So powerfully understated ...
As for Steve's, well that is RS ++ ... and all the more useable for it !

Lovely. The great thing about the 964 is that although it is the last of the traditional 911 shaped cars it has more modern under pinnings making it a lot easier to tune. They are so compact carrying the classic 911 shape.
