Glad you all agree.
One Carmine CGTS owner on the M25 this evening could be seen admiring his raised spoiler in stationary traffic. If I hadn't been going the other way I would have got out and slapped him.
It's the Porsche equivalent to putting an 'M' badge on a 320d, or slapping Golf GTi alloys on a 1.4TSI. It should be illegal and perpetrators should be publically shamed.
Haven't seen Boxster owners doing it though. Seems to be the Cayman/Panamera fraternity.
It wasn't me - I avoid the m25 like the plague, but I did put mine up the other day to wash the car and forgot it up on the way home...is this a reasonable excuse? One Carmine CGTS owner on the M25 this evening could be seen admiring his raised spoiler in stationary traffic. The only reason the manual button is pressed on mine is to clean/wax the paintwork in-between.....sad bd I know...
I'm an entire agreement with the OP. People who buy Porsches to 'pose' give the rest of us a bad name. When I see a spoiler up, I either think 'tt' or 'cheapskate' for not paying to fix the common spoiler ram failure **model dependant**

I don't think anyone on here will criticise raising the spoiler for detailing work.
'Forgetting' to put it back down is another matter. Surely you would see it up the next time you walk out to the car, and, not being a knobber you would think to yourself, 'hmm, I must put that spoiler down before driving away.'
At that point, if you drive away with it up, you have instantly become a tool. :-)
This also seems to be an issue with our American friends, and isn't exclusive to Porsche. Here is a Jag owner showing his lack of class

It absolutely gets me as well. Not just on Porsches, any speed deployed pop up spoiler that has been manually raised is a shocker. I have now come to the overall conclusion it's a positive thing though, it allows you to 100% identify that the person is a cock, there are fewer surer tests.
Apart from a private plate, 2 bay parking or branded motorsport attire obviously....but that's for another day.Can I add switching on the PSE when in town? Although I expect a few people on here may be guilty of that one given it often sounds good when driving down a street with high sided buildings for a bit of echo (not that I've ever done this of course but it's ok as I never raise the spoiler manually)

Nothing shouts cock more to me than PSE switched on in town Still yet to see that and a spoiler deployed in anger at 35mph
What about exhaust in loud mode in towns, how many of you do that, I know I have been know too.
I also assume anyone driving on the motorway with their window done wants to hear my car so I accelerate hard past them.
The best one was someone asking me to put my SC in quiet mode at a car meet (its a tuned engine with not much silencing) I obliged by turning it off and pushing it
There is a little bit of Peacock in all of us its genetic, just make sure its Peacock and not c***, so I am with you spoiler up is a ridiculous crime only beaten by GT body kits on vanilla cars, that is very sad and should be illegal.

The F type spoiler just looks silly anyway, much better down'Forgetting' to put it back down is another matter. Surely you would see it up the next time you walk out to the car, and, not being a knobber you would think to yourself, 'hmm, I must put that spoiler down before driving away.'

I am sure with some Porsche owners they are trying to make a common (relatively) car look extra sporty. But I agree with the OP, looks crap, marks the owner/driver out as a bit of a twonk with self esteem issues.
Porsche/sports car owners, if your willy really is a bit small go the whole hog at fit a fk off great big GT2 wing.
911's and Caymans are good looking cars (mostly), they don't need help to look good.

Spoiler up? No - slows me down too much.Sports exhaust. No - pea shooter.
2 bay parking - no need as so narrow.
Motorsport attire? Hardly
Private plate? Oops! But never on anything serious.

Pure quality, classy. Catherine Deneuve versus Katie Price. I'll let the plate go on this....but only this Sports exhaust. No - pea shooter.

Looks like we're in the minority, to me, sports cars should have a spoiler and most of them look better for it! Same with PSE - if you want a quiet car, get a fking Prius!!!As for that godawful 2CV, please keep it in the garage where it belongs and not on the road!
