Ukkid35, it Corsica. All twisty, mountain roads and coast roads. Perfect.
Also Corsica, sadly I don't have many photos from that trip

Since last October I have done only about 100km in my 911s., and the previous Spring was not much better. They are sitting silently parked waiting for the CV lockdown to be lifted. Still closed here in Toronto. I suppose my fuel bill have gone down at least.....

I bought a 1992 730i last week and took it for its first wash today. Lovely (crayon?) Speedster being given some TLC. I suddenly wished I'd had my Stuttgart car with me. I had a brief chat with the owner who seemed like a nice chap. Thumbs up if you're reading this!

Best car wash I know of and they do a sterling job. The Speedster's owner said it's the only place he entrusts his Porsches and Ferraris to as they know their stuff. Plus he has full PPF on his cars so he feels it's okay. That particular car wash (Autoshine of Bagshot) has a lot of wealthy customers bringing high-end cars. One time I went I was the only customer in the line with a sub-£100k car, so if I'm doing it wrong, they're doing it even wronger.

Looking at pics of their work I would say yes you are all doing it wrong. No snowfoam nor and procedural approach, use of sponges?! and no two bucket method in sight. Good luck, you’ll all need it. But! love your Spyder, congratulations.

Julian, I do believe that you have misread the post. The Spyder doesn't belong to LunarOne. He was there in his barge and spotted this Spyder. I googled Autoshine Bagshot and they seem more competent than most.

hehe Although to be fair, whilst I am not as anal as Julian987R, when we're talking about high-value (monetary or sentiment) cars, I would not trust these hand car washes. I drove past my local one yesterday and noted they not only offer a wash, they offer a full 'mop' and now even ECU tuning!! Fair play to them for branching out but I cannot imagine anyone would take them up on that service!

£200k+ Porsche and gets it cleaned at a £10 car wash where speed is the priority. No chance.

£50 pays for someone to come to your house and spend a couple of hours doing the job properly inside and out with all the right gear once a month.

Judging by the amount of time taken over it, he was spending more than £50 on the wash!

Thanks - I see what you did there smile

What came first the wheel design or the name (or have they always been called classics)…?

Had my Cayman GTS for 7 years. Never garaged and always washed at the local £10 car wash twice a month. Looked amazing with a final pro detail before sale.

Each to their own I say. Your car do what you want with it.
