Looking at pics of their work I would say yes you are all doing it wrong. No snowfoam nor and procedural approach, use of sponges?! and no two bucket method in sight. Good luck
The High Elder of Car Cleaning has spoken...
hehe Although to be fair, whilst I am not as anal as Julian987R, when we're talking about high-value (monetary or sentiment) cars, I would not trust these hand car washes. I drove past my local one yesterday and noted they not only offer a wash, they offer a full 'mop' and now even ECU tuning!! Fair play to them for branching out but I cannot imagine anyone would take them up on that service!
£200k+ Porsche and gets it cleaned at a £10 car wash where speed is the priority. No chance.

£50 pays for someone to come to your house and spend a couple of hours doing the job properly inside and out with all the right gear once a month.

Had my Cayman GTS for 7 years. Never garaged and always washed at the local £10 car wash twice a month. Looked amazing with a final pro detail before sale.

Each to their own I say. Your car do what you want with it.
Looked rubbish for 7 years until that pro detail though. wink

that doesn't tell us anything. A close up of the paint with a swirl light on it would help with your counterargument.

Do you enjoy driving as much as you worry about paint swirls on other peoples cars?

Blimey some lovely cars and locations over the last few pages

At the other end of the scale here is my bargain basement Porsche on a track day last week. Great fun and performed well all day

Jesus - perhaps there should be a trial? Is he not worthy to own such a car?

Get over it - some people don't care about paint condition.

I have never hand washed any of my cars in my life, does that mean I enjoy them any less than someone such as yourself who insists on doing the "two bucket method" whatever that is and when not using this method only their cars "detailed"?

When my car gets cleaned it's either because I've been to the brush car wash or it's been back to the dealer.

The tyranny of snobbery (though I also love hand washing my car and have had it professionally detailed hehe )

Don't get me wrong, I like a clean car and had both my new 911s ceramic coated - so now I can go through a brush wash without fear laugh

I wish I hadn't posted the photo of that Spyder. I've ruined the tranquillity of the thread!

Weather is cheering up all, time to get those cars out to enjoy. Stretched the old girls legs at the new forest yesterday evening.

This one would be hand wash only, I’m not convinced an automated roller would handle the aero on this...

Agree 100%.

I didn’t post the photo of my 8 year old’s reaction when she saw it....
