I presume conditions there are dry / dusty? Is the Ardent any good for that, as it is pants in wet and loose, so is it worth keeping for the summer, or just binning them?

Double O/T.

FWIW, around Cannock Chase and anywhere else I have ridding - Swiss Alps, Lakes, Wales, Scotland - there is no finer all-round front tyre than the Schwalbe Magic Mary.

However, as a 'set' of tyres, I reckon the Michelin Wild Enduro take some beating.

Thanks thumbup

As for the the tyres, yes Ardents are good in the fast, dry, rocky, sandy stuff that’s local to me. They’re also not too draggy for the road section to get there - I use them year-round. Maybe not the best in muddy conditions, though still OK when the dry firetrails get a shower. I couldn’t be arsed with anything with chunkier tread - that would get boring quite quickly as I don’t ride any trails that are regularly muddy.

Lucky you hehe - the South Downs are somewhat opposite in conditions.

Digga - is that Gum-X? They get good ratings.

Damn I hate people who don't post photos of Porsches on this thread.

I think so, pretty much, but it was just before they re-re-branded them. essentially it's all same.

This was a couple of weekends ago. On a 'Treasure Hunt' from a pub car club in Cheshire.

I've done one before and you get sent down all kinds of roads..so i was in the v8 Land Rover and left the CaymanS at home, the 964 driver wished he had too, I think!!
Here, we are both 'lost' wobble

and at the car park..

If I lived somewhere warm and sunny, actually just anywhere with less rain, I'd swop the 993 for a 911/964 Targa.
