Its two-yearly paint correction complete and now ready for the summer, although it’s just sprung a slight coolant leak which needs to get sorted first.

What exactly does paint correction entail ? Never had any done, although the old girl would definitely benefit from some TLC.

Finally pulled the covers off the GT cars over weekend and took each for a 100km drive. Nothing fell off. Dealer this week for inspection and any service required.

It’s quite a lengthy process starting with a full wash and decontamination of the paintwork. The whole car is then machine polished: once with quite heavy cutting compounds to get rid of deeper scratches and then a second round with finer polish to get the paintwork gleaming. It usually takes me around four days but it’s something I love doing. YouTube was my guru when I was learning all about polishing! Once it’s done and protected with a decent wax or ceramic coating it makes washing the car so much easier and it looks great for a few years.
