I can remember, vividly, the first 928 I ever saw. I'd seen pictures of them - the glossy ads on the back cover of the Sunday Times magazine - but not a real one. I was about 10 and we were on the M25. I was awestruck. The car looked like nothing else.I honestly feel the Tacyan Cross Turismo/Sport Turismo is very much in the lineage of the 928.
Anyway, bikes... my Specialized LevoSL is a 29er. Is it my eyes, or is the Yeti 27.5? But yes, not much room at all really (bit longer than the 928) and I'd not throw the bike and gear in there were it muddy.

As for bikes, that’s an XL-frame Yeti SB5.5 29er

I am extremely fortunate that I, and (most of) the guys I ride with from village or nearby, don't need to drive to get to the trails. For me, I have literally just 10m or tarmac before my first option. Did 17 miles last night, with a quick pub stop and we don't even scratch a quarter of the potential trails/areas we have.
A salutary lesson for me recently of why I shouldn’t try to do rush jobs on my cars after a long, hard day at work. I thought changing the gas struts on my 987.1 Boxster would be a five minute job. It actually only took me four but my expertise with a screwdriver was clearly compromised.
Gas struts £30, respray for the wing £400.
A lesson painfully learned!
