This is something I have wanted to do for some years. What route did you take and over how long, could I ask? Which ferry and how was it?

I recall a rather shabby van and trailer turning up to TF once over a decade ago in the overspill car park. Couple of old boys got out and dropped off a stunning 904 and proceeded to lap all day.

Lovely speedster.

On the way down I stopped off at Le Mans for a 4 day event and then headed straight to Barcelona for the Palma ferry. It leaves at 10:30pm and arrives about 6:30am, I had an overnight cabin so managed a few hours sleep.

The return journey was Alcudia - Barcelona during the daytime, from there I stopped off near Milau Bridge and drove home the next day.

All in all about 3,000 miles, including a track day at the Bugatti circuit. Not bad for a 50 year old car!

A long day yesterday at the LM Classic with Parade Laps at 08.00 hrs (a properly epic experience.... see my comments in the Le Mans forum thread) & then a cracking sunset on the 1st Tickets/Pistonheads private camping site at Bleu Nord

With some fabulous 911s being driven on track....
