My recent road trip to Ireland.

There has to be some sheep shagging joke material here but I am far too civilised to go there.
Not too civilised to think it though. scratchchin

Possibly the best shot anyone's taken of my car. Looks like a magazine cover. Makes me want to buy it!

Jochen's team at Frozenspeed really knocked it out of the park with the photos on the last DN track day.

Percy.

My wife is the first to say she's not a gifted photographer but I really quite like this view down Glen Coe today.

What ferry was that BTW? I don't recognise it.

Every time we drive through Glencoe my wife complains at me to stop, and she's always right - good to get out and surround yourself by the place!!

I can tell you, from extensive experience, off road, it’s all either rock or bog and just about fk all in between. Best have a dog to go ahead and test the terrain. hehe

That was the ferry from the Isle of Skye to Mallaig at 5.45pm yesterday. We stayed at Arisaig about 8 miles from Mallaig.

Ah! Staying near Mallaig at Loch Morar this Wednesday with a few pals - we are driving up together from central belt. One has sold his 991RS - hoping he brings his performate but I don’t know what else he has in his fleet just now, but he’s always in something fabulous!

Not sure if we will bother with skye

Haha I know exactly what you mean - sums up most of Scotland TBH! I mean just standing outside the car, with all the peaks around, is breathtaking!!

We drove down from Brora, way north of Inverness, so into Skye via the bridge then off by the ferry. I am of the opinion there are much nicer bits to the mainland than Skye.

When the went the first time we had porpoises swimming alongside the ferry back which was lovely.

I hope you enjoy your trip.

Don’t get my wrong, I love skye but it’s just an overnight and not sure if it’s worth being in a rush!

Next time you are up, come down to Argyll - I think it’s prettier and the roads are much, much quieter …. Basically south of Oban to bottom of Mull of Kintrye!

Hi Nebor

Yes we like that area too.

We stayed in Inveraray Friday night and drove home to Staffordshire yesterday. It’s a manageable 6 hours which is enough really.

We have stayed further down at a nice hotel just outside Tarbert and been down to Campbell town as well on a previous trip.

As you say it’s a lovely area and as it’s not too far north it can be done in a big day’s drive.

Enjoy your trip next week.
