Has type 64 been restored then? I thought it was a green rusty wreck the last time it was in the media/auction.
Just read there was 3 type 64 cars. Everydays a school day.
Yes..it is in the Museum Prototyp in Hamburg. Basically they got the chassis, engine and running gear which were dispersed in various specials and then had a very careful measurement of the other survivor which had an original body ( but not engine) and checked the differences in various photographs.Just read there was 3 type 64 cars. The other car was the one at the failed auction.

Of the three, I presume the not-mentioned-above 3rd car is the one the GIs found in Berlin? cut the roof off and went joyriding to destruction in the ruins? The other car was the one at the failed auction.
