That went a few years ago to an acquaintance who after he'd fettled it further sold it to 911v. They since sold it again at just shy of £100k a few years back. Not bad for a 135k miles car albeit bulletproof provenance! Having said that I did alright out of it also enjoying a few laps around Spa with the 964 crew. Trouble is you make them too good and it spoils the fun.

A GT4 replaced it, going all modern rolleyes then a white 964 C4 presented itself to me at a good price. I bought it on the Thursday and Friday morning drove down to the tunnel for 1,700+ miles around the Swiss Alps. Never missed a beat, needed a bit of TLC but having the GT4 I was compromised and put it up for sale due to lack of garage space. It sold over the phone, paid upfront and I collected the buyer from the airport who arrived with a set of trade plates under his arm. A decent profit and an enjoyable EU trip from 6-months ownership. The buyer exported cars to the Far East. I recall about three months after I'd sold it he rang me to say it had arrived in Singapore(?) wanting to know if it had a immobiliser as they couldn't start it!

The GT4 went last year after over 4+yrs to a private buyer who has now moved into a 992GT3RS and its now for sale with OPC Wilmslow I believe. Then in a moment of delirium I bought a cheap 718 Boxster thinking that near a third the price of the GT4 it could be twice the fun for daily use. I wouldn't pay £40k for one but mid 20s they're a lot of car. Then a colleague who picked up the Targa suddenly decided he was emigrating, off-loading everything and out of the blue he asked me if I wanted it. I didn't really need it alongside the 718 but felt I couldn't say no could I? Bodywork restored to within an inch of its life (in all the correct areas) by a previous owner who deserves all the credit in what was a bank account emptying experience. Original untouched engine and gearbox and mileage to put an Apollo moon lander to shame.

A 3.2 Carrera Targa. Who'd have thought it I don't go looking for air-cooled, they just seem to find me.
Still got the 993 I see. You must have moved up several ranks in the 993 Illuminati by now. I still go checking 993s for wiper widgets rolleyes

Sounds as if you've had some fun with all that swopping about. I've stuck with the 993 so no fun whatsoever. And never had a wiper widget. The shame.

Exactly that.

So you have the 718 and the Targa?

If I lived anywhere with decent weather I'd get a pre-993 Targa - love the shape.

Photo stolen from internet... even looks good in 'gold'..... mostly

anyone likes a good looking RUF car for not that much? I think its cheap, its in France and this week even cheaper.

looks like new stil, also engine 290hp its on a 3.2 base RUF very tempting, but no big shed around here to buy and store.

more here, I would not be amazed if they would ask a 100k more for this car.

He means the horizon isn't straight. Do you remember the Pink Panther episode where he straightened a picture of a boat on a lake, and the water started to pour out of the picture followed by the boat?

Apologies for going off topic - made me think of this. I had to share. Surrealism at it's 1960s best.

It's, er, quite pink. But for a WTL cabrio, and a manual to boot, that's a bargain even for a slightly more common C00 car. It would make a great base for a mechanical restomod like mine, so long as you're happy with the colour. They drive rather well once they have proper suspension (KW V3) and a refreshed or enlarged motor.
