Not quite. From memeory the Dension unit is for cars with PCM. I had the standard single DIN Becker head unit so that wasn't an option for me.
I'd still go for a Pioneer unit - just one of their entry level double din options that are under £200. Definitely would opt for a recognised brand or could affect resale value of the car later on down the line.

Hello. I'm new to PistonHeads. I have a 2004 996 with the premium sound (MOST), not Bose. I'd like to upgrade to a double din with Apple Play and rear view camera. I've been told the amp and speakers need to be changed as well. Does anyone have any information on recommended speakers, sub and amp packages with a Pioneer Double Din. I'm happy using the iPhone for Navigation. What is the best Pioneer unit without NAV. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all. Doug. Jacksonville, FL
