2018 Cayenne bets?......
Discussion
Just got a call to say delivery has been pushed back from next week by a week, possibly two :/ Will get a further call on Friday to give me a better idea.
A little surprised as it's apparently gone into production, at which point I'd normally expect timelines to be quite static unless it literally misses the boat. Good thing I haven't got rid of my current car
So far hasn't been the best experience

I received an update today that my car is *finally* due in Reading early next week, so looking forward to the long awaited collection at the end of the week - assuming no more surprises.
My old Cayenne Diesel went off to its new owner last week, which has been good timing with the weather to hoon around in the 996 and MX5, but neither are quite ideal as a family car. I'm looking forward to an end to shuffling child seats between cars on a daily basis.

Took the delivery of new Cayenne! Drove in congested city traffic and motorway- total 80 miles. It is simply the best car to drive under any road or traffic conditions. Few things noted-
-due to frequency overlap noted at the last minute, Porsche has decided to remove tiny unit which connects smart phone to car’s external antenna for better reception. A letter is given stating this unit will be replaced once fixed. This does not impact phone functionality in any way.
-Adaptive cruise control works very well
-Sports seats 18 way are excellent. Apparently some of the customers have been asked to change option as it is in short supply.
-I think brilliant smooth ride was partly due to air suspension. Very quiet but some road noise at 70mph even on 19inch tyres.
-Infotainment quite intuitive to operate.
-Pano sunroof makes cabin bright particularly on a sunny day.
Overall a most exhilarating drive ever experienced (and I have Mercedes S500, GLE)!
Enjoy!

Interior is black and looks wonderful. With partial leather option, I think black is best. For two tone, full leather option may give better look rather than partial leather.
I spent the full leather money on the panoramic roof as I had a budget for all the extras...looking forward to driving mine in a couple of months. Went for the big RS spider weels and PASM so hopefully I don’t regret not getting air suspension.
Buyers regret...didn’t think I’d ever get that but locking down the final spec was a challenge
Thanks.
Also gone with black as our little one has got to the age she wants to climb in and out of her car seat herself :/ Nice to see some non promo shots whilst I await my OPC (same group as Reading) to pull their finger out. Hasn't been the best experience to be honest
Agree with respect to two tone leathers. Also you get the deviated stitching. Not sure why they don't offer deviated stitching on the Black and Grey. Although actually IMO they're taking the piss not stitching the partial leather given MB do on the lowly C Class.

There was a black Cayenne S with spyder alloys in the dealership which had just arrived. Looked awesome! I wanted a comfortable ride on our rather rough A-B roads so opted for 19inch- and the ride is indeed most comfortable without loosing sporty turns and moves. I also found options selection very challenging partly because this is my first Porsche.
