OPC East London...any good?
Discussion
Evening all.
I've seen a 991 C2S for sale with these guys but as it's over the other side of London from me I wondered if anyone has recent experience buying from them before I make the trip.
Initial offer to px my 996 C4S plus cost to change seems a fair starting point (for a OPC!), so want to check their reputation from a sales point of view if possible from some knowledgeable PHers!

Very good customer service from what I've heard (a mate has his 997.2 Turbo looked after there...)
Whatever you do tho' don't PX with an OPC!! You'll be a lot better off using a reputable SOR outfit (e.g. TH Boiler?) or specialist Indy (e.g.JZM) to sell the car for you.
OR be brave and stick it up privately on here!

I've spoken to a salesman there over the last couple of weeks about buying a Cayenne, ultimately went elsewhere because I bought an ex-demo. Of all the OPC's I spoke to they seemed keenest to do a deal and find a car for me (also was looking for a new car)....most OPC's seem very guarded about what kind of deal they will do. East London were pretty straightforward which I appreciated.
Bought a few cars new from them. As good as the next but you have to get the right sales person, there are a few who could just as well be selling you a washing machine for all their enthusiasm.
Despite having spent over £200k with the one sales person, he couldn't organise a dealer poster of my car for my garage wall - we don't have any. Mentioned my surprise at this to the DP's PA in passing who I've come to know from the various events - she went off, came back within 15 minutes and had a full set of all the posters they had of my car and said that she thought that there was another and she would get it for me if it was the one I really wanted. I sent her a little thank you for making the effort.

Thanks for feedback so far guys, much appreciated.
In regards to p/x, although they're offering below what I might get from a specialist indie, it's not a massive difference (I've done a little research) and as it's my DD, I've not got the luxury of selling privately or on SOR basis I'm afraid. This way is less hassle so I'm happy enough (just) to forgo a little on the value for the convenience factor.
The main thing for me was to understand their 'approach' to sales, prep of used cars, as well as what they might have been like in sorting after-sale problems. The car comes with a 2yr Porsche warranty so I've some comfort there, however don't want to leave any stones unturned and understand if there have been any recent 'horror stories'!

If you proceed, could you please let me know the details of your C4S before px-ing?
