Looking at having this done to my 981.
Read lots of positive things about them just wondered if anyone who had had it done didn't like it/regretted having it done and if so why??

Had it done on my 987 2 years ago, took 90 minutes and worth the money.
Gert is a top bloke who knows his stuff.

I put some on 12 months ago. Love the sound, not too loud or drony. Only issue is the pipe re-welded back onto the box which goes down to the exhaust tip is a bit wonky so the exhaust tips are uneven. May be why Gert sold them for a discount!

I've heard good things too and having one fitted to my Cayman S gen 2 in a few weeks, my only slight concern is how loud they are for track days, anyone got a DB reading or had a problem on a track day ? Unfortunately Gert does not know how loud exactly but says no one has said they had a problem, would be nice to know for sure though.

On my 987.1 the exhaust is loudest on load so i doubt a trackday static test would be a worry. If you love your car you'll be hard pushed not to love the conversion. Particularly if your into your heel and toe.

Had one of Gerts on my 993 and 997. Certainly sounded better on the air-cooled car of course!

Gert fitted one to my 987 Cayman 3 years ago. We have another Cayman with the standard exhaust which I drive occasionally and I have to say I prefer these days.

The Carnewal exhaust is great when I'm in the mood but you obviously can't turn it off. The biggest difference I notice when I drive the standard car is how smooth the engine feels. The Carnewal adds a level of vibration/harshness as well as sound that I find tiring sometimes, particularly on long journeys.

Having said that, I suspect it's no worse and possibly better than most of the alternatives in this respect.
