Maybe it should be renamed the GT4 day as the numbers are growing year on year and only a couple of RSs on track? There were at least 8 GT4s with Chris’s yellow one probably racking up most laps as usual.
You would have done more laps if you hadn't left us to dry out the track for you in the morning. biggrin

Not a surprise really ?

GT4 prices have come off a bit and at 40% of the price on an RS a lot cheaper to run.

Last time I looked at 997.2 RS's 50% of them seem to be SORN'd year round....so never see a road never mind a track. Although of course you could trailer it to the track but that's unlikely....

Nice pic. Gutted I couldn’t be there. I was busy successfully defending a violent assault allegation... client’s, not mine.

Was a fantastic event - I arrived in time for the afternoon session - when it had all dried out - cool
I didn't run myself as i wasn't sure if i was going to make it, and also my tyres, Race Maxx, were pretty marginal.
Primarily wanted to take in the sights and sounds - see some of these cars at full chat, being used as intended.
Met some really nice people - even managed to get some passenger laps in fiercely piloted GT4.... and was loaned a helmet... Many thanks guys, you know who you are.
Loads of GT4s - which was great- showing the others who the real drivers/enthusiasts are!! drivingspin
A number of 991.2 GT3s which was great to see - there was a black one which was intent on buzzing the pit wall every lap!.
Not many/any RS's?
As mentioned there was also an 991.2 Cup car getting having a shakedown which was great.
Whole event definitely has given me the bug to get out on track next time - so looking for the next events now!!. Well worth the drive up. Here are some rough pics straight of camera roll.

No red flags, good, courteous driving standards, lots of nice cars, decent weather and generally not too busy on track. Carlsberg don't do trackdays, but if they did....

The only real drivers on the day was every driver makeing the effort of driving around the circuit on a very cold but dry day,not the gt4 nonsense.
Some had slept in there cars to get to the event, some were up at 3.30 am to drive 4 hours, and some well just slept in a pub carpark in style!
It was great to see a few new drivers coming and a lady clearly enjoying herself on the track.

All the hairdressers were kept out of the cayman photos,so the cars looked bettersmile

I heard the guy in the Black GT3 (991.2) was a cup driver? I’m not suprised - I’ve never seen a road car going as fast on a track day - it was pretty awe inspiring - whoever you are sir, I doff my cap!!

He was pedalling hard - big respect.
Seemed to also have a connection to the white Carrera GT?

Thanks to all for a truly great day.

A little slippery in places in the morning ... but weren't we lucky ??

I can't recall a day with fewer stoppages, just not enough hours in the day for all the banter and driving !

And it didn't start to drizzle until almost everybody had finished ...

Added to the spectacle of the car park ... I wanna slow time down !!

As you say, a great day. Good to catch up with people/be caught up by them.

Thanks for the sage words of instruction - worked a treat and really helped me to get the most out of the car on my first track day in it.

Couple of vids, very quiet last session in the 964:

And some passenger laps in Marks 3.2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mX33HaB3e6Q

We managed 200+ miles on track so about 75 laps between us - too much fun!

Lovely looking car. I was on the pit wall in the afternoon a couple of times, just trying to scope a few additional markers for braking into Old Hall and the noise that car makes on overrun is utterly sublime.
