I heard the guy in the Black GT3 (991.2) was a cup driver? I’m not suprised - I’ve never seen a road car going as fast on a track day - it was pretty awe inspiring - whoever you are sir, I doff my cap!!
He was pedalling hard - big respect.
Seemed to also have a connection to the white Carrera GT?
Yes, similar number plates on the two cars (RAD 30 on the car on track I think), Supercup driver apparently - I only found this out from the Cars & Coffee Liverpool Facebook group.

Oh, and another thing - not all the GT4's were that fast - I was in my nearly standard 996 3.4 Carrera and one of them was really in my way in the bends drivingbiggrin

Lovely looking car. I was on the pit wall in the afternoon a couple of times, just trying to scope a few additional markers for braking into Old Hall and the noise that car makes on overrun is utterly sublime.
Thanks man, its got a 993 Vram lump and very little exhaust - static noise test always a worry but babs always seems to work her magic on the testers wink

It was not generally 'too loud', but was really noticeable under braking. I was more intent on watching cars similar to my own to pick braking references, but the noise made the car stand out - very nice.

I think there's always a brief, sweaty-palms moment when they noise test your car for all of us!

Good to see you again Jevvy. I followed Babs for a couple of laps and enjoyed the very rude noises her car made. Particularly the pops and bangs it let out when changing down for Hizzy's. biggrin Her driving was top notch as usual. thumbup

I was taking my Godson out for the first time on track (with me) so I like to think being right on the tail of a GT4 impressed him, so having you there was a nice reference biggrin

Taking bookings for next year smiledriving

If you can organise some gravy for the chips at lunch time, I'd be up for it.

Definitely! Love Silverstone and can get there and back in a day.

Might finally get the chance to catch up with you at one of these days!

Rather do a Donnington day, Silverstone is for power cars.

there used to be a Porsche Book a track day ,I am sure we could re start it with Jonny.

Wouldn’t summer be a bit warm?

I would be in (and tuition is firmly on the agenda for this year......)

Ok. I'm seeing Melindi at Goldtrack in a few weeks. I'll see if she can set a date aside. I wont have time to do any organising but I dont mind asking the question.

Will report back

Ok Chaps. Potential date of 1st Oct. silverstone GP run by Goldtrack. They will stand by the date but need commitment. Porsche only

Noise never a problem. Fast but very technical.

Down to you lot?

thank you for the note on my driving, I was trying to scare my passengers so it wasn't particularly tidy, more daft and used the grass a few times which they showed me the black and white track limits flag for (sorry Mr Palmer..) smile

and yes the CGT was mine, didn't have time to take it on track although it will be out on track during the summer as usual. I did take my old yellow cgt on track at some of the previous RS days a few years ago which some of you long timers may remember.

it was a great day with the best driving standards ive seen on a trackday, already looking forward to the next!
