i realise its a special car but an estimate of Euros 275,000 starting price for a 200,000km car seems crazy
good thing its no reserve then grab a bargain! Is 120K miles really that much for a 30 year old car though? It also has a new gearbox, which was silly money at RUF and is cosmetically in fine fettle for such an old banger
Could be an absolute bargain for someone. As there are less than 60 in existence, they are very tricky to value. The last one I saw for sale was £550k. If you want a Mint Green one, then there is only one in existence so grab it while you can!

Car looks lovely and is an incredible colour.
Apologies but I couldn't see any details on the auction page about its history and I have a friend who might be interested in bidding. Has it been in any crashes/accidents?
If anyone is thinking about bidding I just want to say that driving/owning a Ruf CTR is an incredible experience and well worth it.

Adam did you by any chance own a Yellow one back in 2004?Apologies but I couldn't see any details on the auction page about its history and I have a friend who might be interested in bidding. Has it been in any crashes/accidents?

My father was the owner but I did most of the driving
Then you may recall back in 2004 we both attended an event call TV (Terminal Velocity) at RAF Woodbridge. It was a close run thing but I managed to steal the title by the smallest of margins about 0.01secs or something daft to claim the trophy which I still have to this day It was the one and only time I've been in a CTR when you kindly took me out in your car. It was a serious weapon and I still remember being gob-smacked at just how quick it was.

I remember it very clearly! Was a cracking day and very close indeed. I think (from memory) I did the 1/4 mile in 11.53s @133mph.It was the one and only time I've been in a CTR when you kindly took me out in your car. Friends have done the same with their old bangers for this auction. All of them to a man have buyer on hand just in case car doesn't get nr how much they want
how does this work then, genuinely curious how underwriting works. surely someone has to pay for the thing? AdamT said:

I’m interested in this car too, can you share a brief overview of its history? Edpecially services and if it has had any crashes or damage?Apologies but I couldn't see any details on the auction page about its history and I have a friend who might be interested in bidding. Cheers
