Do think this will be the case? My order has been brought forward from Nov/Dec delivery to April/May but I cant have some of the options that I would have like or that may be offered later. I've accepted the build slot as I think it could be 6 months free motoring, I may even try and flip it when its delivered.
I always presume a car will lose me money and haven’t been wrong yet. Circumstances like this do provide some hope though smile I’d be more confident if the exterior differences were bigger.

On the flip side a little concerned why is there so little detail on this closure. Can’t find any articles by the press.

If it’s emmisions related how does it affect these early cars down the line?

I think the diesel issue is somewhat separate to the wider shutdown. Porsche have just removed all Macan Diesel and (new) Cayenne Diesels in the configurator. The press reported in January that they were likely to be banned from sale if an emissions fix wasn't produced.

@GregKable tweet...

"German media: The German transport ministry has threatened to withdraw type approval for the @Porsche Macan Diesel S. Sources suggest tests have detected up to five "questionable" software functions relating to manipulation of emissions."

I don't know about the Macan, but I've been checking the Cayenne regularly as I consider (dither) on options for mine. There's the 3 new models (all petrol no diesels announced yet) and the Diesel Platinum Edition run out of the old model. Nothings been pulled (or added) for months from what I've seen.

Anyway, to cover myself I emailed my salesperson to specifically ask if the reason for the shutdown could subsequently affect my car. As expected I got the "we don't believe so" answer smile But if its something that obviously will affect these early cars, may be hard for them to argue they weren't aware of that (hopefully no issues of course).

I’m a bit behind the curve on this one so trying to catch up with the latest. Tried some google searches but couldn’t find much up to date information.

Thinking about getting rid of our 66 plate Macan SD but reading the various threads I’m not sure what to do.

Could this factory shutdown effect residuals on used cars, positive or negative?

I’m struggling to find any info on if our car will be caught up in the emissions issue?
