Apparently he was having some fun with bikers, he got loose on a crest which put him into a bit of a tank slapper & he didn't have enough road to gather it up.

The bikers stopped to help him out & he didn't have serious injury, shame about the car though.
That's what I have assumed, high speed jumps need special care, floor it, or snap the throttle shut and you'll be in the scenery before you can say SHI!!!

+1 on the rest.

They should probably think ahead and get the clutch changed whilst the engines out! Might save them a bit of money in the long run...... ;-)

In your opinion, how many hours labour do you think the OPC will quote for removal. biglaugh
Not too much, but the reassembly bill will make your eyes water!

Looks like a plug and play solution, so a couple of minutes max.

Is that the potential new ultra-SWB edition? Looks like an upside down Mac F1 given where the wheels are on the chassis.

That second video...

"had the biggest moment of my life there" and said without hint of panic or distress. Outstanding.

Looks like a certain well cared for immaculate and professionally rebuilt rolleyes white GT3 RS with red stitching available in a few months at a certain extremely reputable scratchchin Yorkshire second hand car dealer.

'it appears to have taken off, inverted and landed upside down, rather than merely rolled.'

Using AAIB skills I would suggest that it has, indeed, achieved V1 and rotated (take off) but has failed to achieve V2 (sustained flight speed) and has landed on its tail, thus removing the engine from the gearbox, prior to becoming inverted in the field where it eventually came to rest....... In the light os no evidence of ctasrophic failure, one can only suspect pilot error as the primary cause of this incident.
The old "if in doubt, blame the pilot" procedures are still alive and well, then.......:-)
The AAIB never apportions blame or liability. It aims to identify the facts and makes recommendations for future safety.

BTW that doesn’t look like any part of the TT circuit, but one of the back lanes. If it delayed racing then it would have been because the emergency services were required at the scene.

I was thinking that; another one for the classifieds watch list.

It was on the A10 coast road at the north end of the island, a few miles from the TT course.

Doubtful that'll ever see the inside of a car sales showroom again. Must be a Cat B ? so shouldn't appear on the open market...

I love the way his passenger doesn't flinch....he doesn't have time to! No wonder Mark Higgins has been used as a stunt driver on the last Jamez Bond film.

my car did not look dissimilar after my crash (I think I might have posted a pic at some point in an old GT2 thread), engine was still in it though (I had a broken roll cage as reference for size of impact).

From what I was told the car was sold to Italy to be rebuilt / combined with a couple of other cars to make one "whole" car again. I have not seen it on the market since then ... having said that I am not sure how I would be able to identify it.... so this might well reappear again

I saw a GT3 and a green Huracan Performante together a number of times at the TT in the last week...not sure if it was this one. Glad everyone is ok, must have been a real brown trousers moment!
