Mine too. Back on topic I paid £24500 in Setember 2013 for Polar Silver 993 Carerra with 86000 miles. Ever since I watched the prices go up and up. Whats mine worth now with 100k miles. I have had roof and scuttle painted, new windscreen, new airbag module, new suspension,996 steering wheel,BBS LM,steering brace etc etc plus annual services. It's not for sale but I would expect mid 40's.

If manual with vario - defo £40k+++

I keep looking and toying with the idea of getting another (man, coupe, not bothered by miles, nice if its sorted) I expect to pay circa £40k

Ive found of late that no longer (quite rightly so imo) that the price difference between vario and non vario are not that dissimilar..... It seems as the years go by that the vario non vario argument on which one is better has now been largely forgotten.
From a personal point of view I’ve always preferred the earlier engine to the latter. Hence why I bought one.

Agreed re VR v non VR. I was fixed on a VR, & though I’ve not driven a non VR I wouldn’t let it put me off at all now. In fact like 964’s non VR’s seem to be preferred I get the impression these days.

Bought a 993 with redundancy money in 2011 for about £12k, cat d and a bit tatty but drove better than anything else I looked at. Loved the car, nice to drive even slowly and much different to a "normal" car. Silly quick when you pushed it and you needed to get it all right on corner entry but so satisfying when it all came together. Spent a few hundred on maintenance and repair, did work myself. Sold about five years later for about £24k. Bought a 2.9 Cayman with profit and money from selling BMW for everyday use. It is much more like the BMW than the 993 to drive and rather more forgiving but I miss the 993!Much better on 17" wheels and narrow tyres.
This gives an idea of values now: https://www.hagertyinsurance.co.uk/classiccarvalue

It's funny that I often read that they are better on 17's. I have both and I prefer the 18's. Only very slightly harsher but no real difference as far as I am concerned.

Interesting, to me the car is very different on 17" as opposed to 18", ride a bit better but handling and grip a lot different although my 17" are winter tyres, maybe that is part of the difference. I also found the 18" summer tyres fine on snow and ice.

I managed to buy my current turbo, privately, for £50k in 2013 with 40k miles on the clock, as a direct replacement for another turbo (same arctic silver, albeit an X50) written off in an accident. My insurance paid out at a guaranteed value for the same amount.

very little difference for me either, maybe because the weight of the 18" hollow twists I have is almost the same as the 17".

18" does feel a bit more planted, slightly less exciting to drive on road...a bit more confidence-inspiring on track.

You did well on that! Well done thumbup
I was thinking of getting an arena red turbo but a drive in a GT3 seduced me.
