Yes this kit can be applied to 718 GT4 also and is one way to do it. I think another method is to get top mounts from 991.2 GT3 RS which are even more offset and can be turned to help get more camber without altering track too much via adding shims.
Other full kits are also available.... Manthey have something, E-motion Engineering.

The key thing is that to get beyond -2° safely you need to have longer or adjustable/extendable steering rods, which come in the MR kit but sure they can be sourced separately, as you’ll run out of thread on the stock ones...which is UNSAFE.

It’s very funny that this topic has popped back up again today.... literally have been on the phone today getting quote for 3-way adjustable dampers. It must be a sign!!

Haha, must be because of the offseason combined with people being bored during lockdown. My PDK GT4 is being built in January. Want to give the bigger siblings a scare this spring so going (probably) full JCR exhaust/headers and maybe some aero from Manthey but starting with the suspension and trying to figure out the best way to go. From what I've read 255/305 Trofeo Rs should fit on the standard wheel and should make a big difference.

JZM & RPM Technik both retail the MR trackday arm package that works with OEM dampers.
It is all Porsche parts (RS + Cup/Motorsport) or VAG. Funny there are some little plastic strips that can be fitter in the rear arches to protect against rubbing… they are from Golf R lol.
You’ll also get/need adjustable rear toe arms as the OEM item is fixed/solid and only has limited adjustment on the eccentric bolt. You’ll nee more range in order to properly balance the toe vs the front geo. Whoever is doing the set up will advise.

MR haven’t officially announced a package (aero or chassis) for 718 as far as I know. Although there are 718 running around with parts on… it’s same platform and chassis as 981 after all.

RSS also do a package for GT4, and E Motion engineering do parts if you know what you’re looking for. Other vendors do parts also.

Trofeo R are probably the fastest currently available road legal tyre for GT4.… as we don’t have Cup R sizes yet.
Looking forward to trying a set of Trofeo R myself next season.

Thanks! I only had my 981 GT4 briefly (it arrived 6 months late) so never really did anything more than maximizing the stock settings, which if you didn't take care would wear out the shoulders of the left front in a day. So want to get it right. The 991.2 GT3 was a lot easier to setup in that regard.

Also looking forward to trying the Trofeo R and get a slightly wider tire upfront. Should really help with the grip up front!

I never thought it lacked grip in the Gt4's not for the power and chassis.

I would add front track over more weight with fatter tyres.

@TDT - Have you had the opportunity to test the 718 GT4? I'd be interested in your thoughts on how they compare.
Hey mate - so yes - I did around this time last year - I posted at the time -

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

For the TLDR - not much different than the general sentiment.
It's a very good car - not surprising considering the formula, it just a .2 revision.
The key element is to get the correct seats - by which i mean P11 918 Buckets.
Overall the car is more refined than the original, they've knocked all the edges off... which for me, robs it of the harder edge/character of the original... but makes it easier to drive or more liveable... almost like GTS+ ... which now turns out to be the case.
To see the best of if you really need to be pushing it, even more so than with the original.
New engine is good, in that it revs out well, but I didn't leave PEC thinking that it was night and day at the time.

The question for me at the time was, would I pay overs to get into one etc?, and get bent over on trade in?, as dealers were playing silly buggers back then.
The answer was a resounding no, and so i decided to put some of that budget into tweaking my 981 GT4.
Bringing it back to Nov 2020 - if i had a stock 981 and could get a 718 GT4 for list or below, and got a reasonable trade into the 981 - I'll be totally honest and say its a toss up. I can understand the appeal of new car, with some manufacturers warranty - but certainly not going to pay through the ar$e for that.
