Waze and Google Maps now on PCM

250 miles over the weekend with CarPlay enabled Waze, iPhone usb connected in the centre console cubby.
I won't be hurrying back to the PCM satnav, CarPlay now does it all (music, nav, whatapp etc), and very well IMO.

Starting to use Waze via Appleplay in my car - but noticed a lot of the functionality is missing - for example you can only “report” a few things - like Police, Road Works , etc - on the iPhone you can report much more - is it me or is this normal and to do with the limited functionality whilst in Appleplay - cheers

One of my complaints was that the road speed was in the top right corner of the screen and hidden under directions. This morning it is in the top left and visible at all times, perfect!

With referecne to the PCM fitted to latest 718 Cayman (MY20), is it possible to use Waze / Google Maps and still listen to DAB radio? Or by using Waze/Google am I restricted to audio from my phone?

You can listen to DAB whilst using Waze. Depending on whether you have voice alerts they will interrupt whatever you are listening to.

Depends on which model you have. I know on the Cayenne they updated the PCM to include Apple Car Play Q4 2016. 991.2 has it, 991.1 doesn’t, 718’s all have it I think. Don’t know about Macan or Panny....never seen a mention of Android.

Dec 2018 is 9 months ago: does anyone know when Android Auto is coming to the porsche world? Specifically the 2019/20 Cayenne.

Try searching Rennlist which is a very active US forum
