Just got back from having my wheels/tyres rotated before Oulton Park on Wednesday..... man, the car is epic.
With my new setup and the monoballed front end... so much feel... even at low speed.
A joy to drive.
What’s the new setup and “monoballed”? With my new setup and the monoballed front end... so much feel... even at low speed.

I may decide to go in my Toyota GRMN and leave the GT4 in the garage ...
I know exactly what the GT4 will do at Oulton ... maybe 1.57 and I may find another quarter of a second ?
I guess I'm just starting to get bored with the Porsche line that I'm not a good enough Porsche customer to get a new GT4 ... even if I have owned almost everything exciting from 2.7 Carrera to 996 GT3 RSR ...
There's a lot more to driving fun than just Porsche, good as they are.
And I have to say, for me a £26k Yaris on the road is lovely, just lovely.

You were raving about these at Donny iirc .... and certainly they seem to be developing a bit of a following… both theses and the Citroen C2 … pure, back to basics, for the thrill of driving. I know exactly what the GT4 will do at Oulton ... maybe 1.57 and I may find another quarter of a second ?

Life is about enjoying as many experiences as possible.

I'm confused by this Chris....you're current GT4 was new...but not a good enough customer to get the next one?See you Wednesday.
Apparently the letter of intent that I placed before the 981GT4 actually arrived on the next generation GT4 or preferably GT4RS has very little meaning in the new scheme of Porsche ownership where the most import factor is how many new cars you have bought --- and sold back to the dealer to cycle --- hence the plethora of virtually un-driven multi-owner cars in dealers showrooms.
I don't make a habit of submitting letters of intent and I don't buy from multiple dealers ... all my business has been with my local dealer.
It's the logical business conclusion of this topsey turvey market. It won't always be this way --- but at this moment I feel rather bruised.
Maybe I will get one --- I don't want to burn my boats --- but it feels rather incompatible with what P stood for over the last 70 years.
And it will be great to find out more about the GRMN ... after all myself and my family have done over 200,000 miles in two Yaris' with little more than tyres, a couple of batteries, a set of front discs and a couple sets of pads all round being pretty well the only cost beyond fuel and servicing. And all my children learned to drive on the things !
Because they never really cooled down, both even had their original exhausts
(And the GRMN is guaranteed for 5 years and 100,000 miles --- I hope I don't speak too soon --- )
