As an aside. Can anyone remember a 997 Cup being run at an RS day? Just checking that it would get through the noise regs

That car is worthless - it’s got the wrong headlights and also it’s only got one wiper blade - some people really don’t know how to spec a car properly !
Hey tdt,its worth even less with owners on here, guess what it has no front lift,i bet a opc will tell the future owner anything ! You should have ticked the box on ceramics and front lift, what do you mean you have air jacks, nobody will want that spec!Hunter let me know if you want to,i will see what i can do,it does sell out fast.

Think I’m at the Alvanley arms. Is that close??
The arms is down the a49 from oulton towards whitchurch, not far, some of the regulars stay there and come up to the fishpool on the night after and taxi back.Edited by TDT on Tuesday 27th November 09:38

Hi Yellow. I’m just prepping my car for Oulton and the team are saying ‘no way you will get on at Oulton with a Standard exhaust, Oulton is as bad as Brands, wasting your money blah blah’.I’m getting a bit twitchy.. are you confident that an unsilenced 997 cup will get on?

What do you mean unsilenced!,no a car with straight through/unsileced will not,but a standard 997cup with its silencer system should be fine, the 991 was fine and fairly loud with it standard cup silencers etc.I’m getting a bit twitchy.. are you confident that an unsilenced 997 cup will get on?

Couple years ago I took my Gen 2 997RS and that had a 997 Cup car exhaust on it and it was fine on driveby but we had to be a bit sneaky on the static test by having revs a little lower. So probs you will just scrape through if standard exhaust. I'm taking my 991.1 GT3 Cup car and 991.1RS this year and have special bolt on silencer for the 991 Cup if needed that takes 2-3dB out and removing the akropovic from the 991RS and putting standard exhaust back on with downward facing Manthey tips. Here's hoping for dry weather!I’m getting a bit twitchy.. are you confident that an unsilenced 997 cup will get on?

Talk to Nick at Uber9s (NXI20) about his car - I know he usually has to run a separate silencer on his 996 GT3 at Oulton.
I'm planning on using one of Nick's dongles for my 997 GT3/Sharkwerks.Contrary to what I said a few posts above, I'll be in my GT3 not my 69T which will make it even more embarrassing being a mobile chicane!
ETA: I'm hoping to get my PASM dampers and springs back on and nicely set up in time by CG as well. I've worked out that the current setup with the KWs is all over the place. If it was standard KW clubsport setup it should be great for Oulton. But the rear is on much softer springs than it should be for the KW dampers. The front and the rear are somewhat at odds with each other
