It's a manual which is maybe not what most 991 buyers want. In the longer term I think the 997.2 will be the more valuable car.

997 has got to be a future classic so if you’re going to hold on to it for years then a 997 would be a sensible investment. Be careful buying a 964 or 993 at prices seem to have plateaued at the moment. Must admit tho if I had that sort of money I’d be getting a 993.

I know of a pretty tidy 3.2 targa for sale within your budget smile

Dump the GT8, forget the £45k budget, and perhaps try something like this? What a find for someone. http://www.911virgin.com/porscheforsale/1348/964C2...

That does look lovely!

I actually advertised the GT8 on the weekend - only because I've seen a rather lovely 993RS which there may be a deal on. If the 993RS disappears I'll be taking the GT8 off the market.

Wow, 993 RS, I am not jealous at all.

Hope all is well!

Hey....I'm good. How about you?

I don't think the GT8 is going anywhere quickly given where the car market is right now.....but the 993 is top of my list if I do happen to sell it. Otherwise the GT8 is staying and I'll get a 987Spyder.

Thats a very good trade if it happens. Even if it doesn't that GT8 looks stunning in pale blue. What a car. Think I need to go and wash my mouth out with soap for saying get rid of it...

Thanks...love the GT8...it ticks most the boxes for me.

Still the most likely way forward is to keep it and get a 987Spyder, 993 or 964 to join it. We'll see thumbup

Does look good....I'm sticking to a coupe though - unless it's a Spyder smile
